In just the first half of 2026, Bridge of Life has already screened 3,115 people for risk factors related to kidney disease, hypertension, and diabetes.

That’s 3,115 opportunities to identify health concerns earlier.
3,115 conversations about prevention.
3,115 people connected to education, resources, and next steps for their health.

None of this happens alone. Thank you to our volunteers, partners, and communities who make this work possible.

Together, we’re bringing kidney care closer to where it’s needed most.

This is why we keep showing up, alongside local partners, health clinics, and remote communities, bringing kidney care closer to where it’s needed most. 🇧🇴🌎

What an incredible day in Tampa!

With the help of dozens of volunteers, we screened 60 community members for kidney disease risk factors while providing education, support, and resources focused on prevention and early detection.

Grateful for every volunteer, partner, and participant who made the day possible.

Two decades of impact looks like this: Bridge of Life has screened 50,134 people for chronic kidney disease. Early detection saves lives and our screening programs help identify CKD before it's too late, giving people the chance to seek treatment and change their trajectory.

We are so grateful to have Dr. Dirk Hentschel on the ground with us in Guatemala working alongside local clinical leaders at our partner units, teaching the “ins and outs” of complex fistula repairs and interventions. This kind of hands-on mentorship is a huge part of work in Guatemala… it’s not just about the surgery today, it’s about making sure local teams are equipped for the long haul.
It’s been an incredible quarter for our Guatemala program, from our AV fistula training in Mississippi with Dr. Lucas to CKD prevention with the MOH to these interventions happening right now. Thank you to all the amazing “healthcare heroes” for helping us strengthen capacity across the country! 💚
