ACP SUPERVISOR SPOTLIGHT, featuring Ashleigh Davis, LMFT, LAC!

’m Ashleigh – a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and cultivate personal growth. With a rich background spanning over a decade in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of working with diverse individuals and couples.

How Can I Support You?

Individuals: My goal is to empower you to break free from negative cycles, find relief from anxiety and stress, manage depression, heal from grief, loss and trauma, navigate life's transitions, and foster healing in your relationships.

Addiction Therapy: I support both individuals and couples struggling with addiction by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy focused on healing the root causes. Whether you're dealing with substance use, codependency, or the impact of addiction on your relationship- I help clients build healthier coping strategies, improve communication, and create lasting change.

Couples: I work with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners break negative cycles, strengthen emotional connection, and rebuild trust. Whether you're navigating conflict, disconnection, or life transitions, I guide couples toward deeper understanding, secure attachment, and lasting change.

I am deeply passionate about the potential for change within each person. Rather than advocating for quick fixes or temporary solutions, I believe in the power of incremental, sustainable shifts that lead to long-lasting transformation. From overcoming procrastination to addressing addiction, I'm here to support you on your journey toward positive, enduring change.

In my practice, I recognize that change is multifaceted- encompassing emotional, cognitive, and physiological dimensions. Anxiety, depression, and addiction can create formidable barriers to change, often rooted in ingrained behavioral patterns and biochemical imbalances. My approach is holistic, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in fostering true healing and growth.

Through evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Behavioral Activation (BA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more- I help clients untangle the complexities of their experiences and cultivate resilience.

If you're ready to embrace change and create a life aligned with your deepest values and desires- I’d be honored to support you.

Say hello to this week's highlighted Core Practitioner, Brian Cooper, MS, MA, CPT, LPC!

I specialize in working with individuals, teens and couples struggling with life, communication and health issues by creating a warm, open environment free of judgement. I frequently use the Enneagram, traditional talk therapy, relaxation techniques and exercise as modalities to break through barriers and disease to lead people down their own path to a healthier life. People often have the answers to their own problems, it is my job to unlock whatever is keeping those answers from being realized. In addition to counseling I offer coaching solutions for improved sport performance. Sessions will address psychological and physical aspects of sport performance. Physical sessions can include stretching (muscle and fascia), strengthening and movement techniques to improve all aspects of physical capacity and injury recovery/prevention. In addition to the in-person sessions at People House, I offer online coaching and training through Tetro Performance. Tetro Performance offerse training services and corporate wellness programs at all price points helping improve you and your employee’s wellness level. My background includes Master’s degrees in Sport Psychology (Florida State University) and Community Counseling (University of Northern Colorado) and a BS in Athletic Training from Southern Mississippi. Licenses and Certifications include but are not limited to LPC, NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Golf Strength Specialist. I have been working in the fitness industry in many facets and with all levels of ability, including professional athletes for over 27 years as well as teaching exercise and coaching education classes at Metropolitan State University of Denver for 20 years.

ACP SUPERVISOR SPOTLIGHT featuring, Tania Henderson, LPC, ACS!

My path has had many twists and turns, beautifully messy and all major contributors to who I am today.
I became excited about becoming a therapist at age twelve, when I watched a guru connect with a troubled child who had only known how to push others away. His skill seemed like magic…. and I was hooked. I soaked up classes in counseling psychology and dabbled in Eastern philosophy with the hope of gaining different perspectives on how to relieve human suffering.

When it was time to put theory into practice, I worked in inpatient and foster care settings where children and families strove to find a semblance of normal in the middle of chaos. For a time, I facilitated a group for survivors of childhood sexual abuse through the WINGS Foundation. While in this program, a few participants in the LGBTQ+ community disclosed how much trauma they regularly endured just to be true to themselves. The group became a welcoming community where all members were believed, respected, and supported. This proved to be a rare gift for many.

These experiences allowed me to see what raw trauma looks like, the sophisticated ways we protect ourselves to endure, and the resilient nature of the human spirit. In 2003, I chose to step out on my own and start a private practice, focusing on adults dealing with the impacts that trauma, anxiety, and depression/bipolar disorder cause. To truly meet my clients in those deep spaces, I moved away from traditional talk therapy and immersed myself in experiential modalities like EMDR, Gestalt, and psychedelic-assisted work.

Since that time, I have worked with remarkable people whose courage and tenacity have been nothing short of inspirational. They have proved that the capacity to love and embrace life can be rediscovered, even for those who have lived through the unbearable.

Along the way, I have had my own challenges to face. I can honestly say that it is hardest work I’ve ever done but also the most important. I’ve learned how much courage it takes to ask a stranger for help, the vulnerability required to face hard truths, the necessity to let go of the (ridiculous) fantasy of perfection to be able to embrace that I am wonderfully neurotic, not broken.

This journey has humbled me, informed me, and motivated me to pay it forward.
