Sometimes the most important thing I can do is put the needle down.

Not every person who books a consult leaves with a treatment plan. Sometimes what someone is asking for isn't what they actually need. Sometimes the concern they're focused on isn't the real issue. Sometimes I can see that more isn't the answer - and saying so is part of my job.

I've told people I won't touch their lips again until they've had time to let previous filler settle. I've redirected clients who came in for filler when what they were describing was a skincare issue.

Anyone can say yes. It takes more to say "not today - and here's why." I'd rather lose a booking than contribute to a result someone will regret.

When it's done right, filler is subtle. It adds shape, softens edges, gives you back volume you've lost, or enhances what was already there. You look like you. Just a better-rested, slightly more defined version.

The myths in this carousel are the things I hear most often at consults. And every single one of them comes down to the same thing: fear of looking fake.

That fear is valid. And it's exactly why technique matters more than anything else.

This is one of the biggest fears I hear - that once you start, you're locked in. That stopping will make you look worse than if you'd never started.

Here's the truth: hyaluronic acid filler dissolves naturally over time. When it goes, your face returns to its baseline. Not worse. Just back to where it was.

The reason some people feel like they look worse after stopping isn't the filler wearing off - it's that they've been looking at a version of themselves they prefer, and going back to baseline feels like a step backwards. That's a perception shift, not a physical one.
