Rod started “Acro Deco body piercing” (Bend Oregon) in 1998 and was the only registered nurse body piercer in the North West. By the year 2000, piercings became so popular that the Bend Bulletin featured Rod’s and Uncle Bills tattoo shop on the front page of the business section. Rod’s medical background and his passion for piercing has made him a leader in the industry and given him a unique edge in sterile technique as well as a science-based understanding of the bodies healing process.
