There’s something about a garden that slows us down.

Maybe it’s the way seeds take time to grow…
or how even the smallest bloom feels like a quiet victory.

Caregiving can feel a lot like that too.

Some days are full of beauty. Others feel uncertain. And many days require more patience than we ever expected.

But just like a garden, growth is still happening—even when we can’t always see it.

Moments of connection.
A shared smile.
A quiet laugh in the middle of something hard.

These are the blooms worth noticing.

🌸 Join Us: Garden-Themed Memory Café
This month, we’re inviting you to step into the garden with us—a space to connect, create, and simply enjoy time together. During our time, we will:

🌼 Discover fun and simple facts about flowers

🌿 Work together in a lighthearted activity to “build” a garden

🌾 Create a whimsical “Crazy Lady Planter”—a keepsake that will grow right along with you

It’s not about doing things perfectly. It’s about being present—and making memories together.

Saturday, May 9th @10:30 in our new location

🌷 A Few Simple Ways to Make the Most of the Moment
As you join us—or even in your everyday caregiving—here are a few gentle ways to support your loved one:

1. Keep directions simple
Offer one step at a time. Demonstrate first, then invite them to join you.

2. Offer easy choices
Instead of open-ended questions, try:
“Would you like this one or this one?”

3. Focus on the feeling, not the outcome
It doesn’t have to look “right” to be meaningful.
Connection matters more than completion.

4. Go at their pace
Slowing down often brings more peace—for both of you.

🌱 7 Gentle Reminders for the Caregiving Journey
You are doing more than you think you are
It’s okay to take breaks
Small moments matter
Laughter still belongs here
You don’t have to fix everything
Connection is enough
You are not alone

Just like a garden, this season may not look the way you expected.

But there is still beauty here.
There is still growth.
And there is always hope.

Looking forward to seeing you at Memory Café this Saturday. Please let us know you are coming. RSVP

With care and encouragement,

Rayna Neises, ACC with Gaylynn Green
