04.27.24: Next phase activated!

Finished 20 radiation treatments yesterday following last month’s surgery. And now we play the long game…years of meds and scans and appointments in hopes of no recurrence 😬

Ugh, this has always made me chuckle and I definitely have had my days but I HATE not having any interest in cooking right now. But I keep buying the effing food so I can throw it away…as if something different is going to make me have any interest at all. Jeff is currently picking up B Bops 😆

04.08.24: Starting the 2nd week…6 radiation treatments down and 14 to go. Tired and uncomfortable but nothing bad. Looking forward to this month being over ☺️

Radiation: 1 down, 19 to go!

Mantra this month is protein, protein, protein and hydration, hydration, hydration…inside and out! Fingers crossed for easy recovery and limited skin irritation 💕 Eggs+egg whites+turkey sausage on repeat every morning and a great excuse to make my favorite…chicken salad 😋

Goal for the month is to not steal anything else from the cancer center! Threw this damned gown over my arm after changing and walked outta there like a boss…didn’t even realize it until I got to the car! 😂 Now, should I take it back tomorrow or keep it for my “cancer memory box”? 🤔

All scanned and prepped and ready to start radiation next week! 👊🏻

03.19.24: Happy Spring all!! I’m shockingly figuring out what day it is 😆 A week+ off work threw me for a loop but we’re back to the grind for the last week and all is going well!

Pathology came back great from surgery! Got everything out (2.1 cm tumor, clear margins, lymph node clear, yada yada). Onto radiation consult this week to start planning that next phase. 🙌🏻

03.11.24: Got to meet with a dietitian today and make just a “few” tweaks…Jeff’s gonna love it! 😂 Luckily he can continue eating garbage 2 meals a day
