We have delivered packages to over 100 centers across America! There are approximately 2,300 children 19 years and younger in the Unites States that do dialysis and many more with kidney disease which can lead to renal failure and the need for dialysis. Have you ever had to get your blood cleaned? Imagine if you had to do it multiple times every week, hooked up to tubes in a hospital for a couple

Having been born with a serious kidney disease, I have lived my entire life fighting renal failure. I have had two renal transplants, both which my body rejected and have spent time as a very young child on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. My senior year of high school I once again began needing dialysis. I would have been going to college at Briar Cliff University but, I had to hold that off because of dialysis. Now I am currently doing home hemodialysis. But in late July of 2012 I got a call from the University Of Minnesota for a transplant. My antibody levels were 100% and 71% I was unbelievable lucky to get a transplant with theses numbers. The doctors said I had a better chance at winning the lottery then getting this kidney, But it happend! Over the years I have realized how much time dialysis takes and how hard it is for kids to sit still for 3-4 hours at a time, three days a week during dialysis. Watching videos and playing video games helps pass time as well are reading books, drawing and many other things. My goal is to help kids enjoy something and pass time more quickly while they are dialyzing.
