a space for connection, education, and community๐Ÿซถ Hi, I'm Jacquelyne, I'm a Birth and Postpartum Doula+ Owner of Wild Roots Birth Collective, as well as a student Midwife. I am doing my part to change the way society looks at pregnancy/postpartum care. A lot of mental health issues could be resolved in postpartum, when a mother is properly supported, allowed to rest, heal and bond with their baby, without having to deal with the day to day duties, and stresses, the first few weeks after giving birth. Mother's need to be held and pampered during this time. As a Doula, I am here to give her all the care, help take care of baby, and do them mundane things, so she can get the rest and heal. As a student Midwife, again this is where my passion lies. I am looking forward to being able to offer holistic prenatal care, homebirths, postpartum care, newborn care and women's wellness.

Weekly roundup!

This week has BUSY!

4 Prenatals, 2 Births, 1 Postpartum day shift, 1 postpartum overnight shift, 1 Postpartum visit, + 2 lactation visits, Oh and a Mom's Meetup mixed in! ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅฐ Whew!!

Extremely grateful for the families i have had the honor of supporting! Building relationship is such a HUGE part of what we do at Wild Roots Birth Collective, and that goes beyond the pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum!

Today's Mom's Meetup at The Motherhood Lounge was so much fun! I got to spend time with 4 of our Wild Roots Mama's that I personally helped support at their births and see their sweet babies and little ones! It seriously made my day! ๐Ÿฅฐโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

I am so thankful for every mama that has crossed our paths, that trusted us to walk alongside you during pregnancy, postpartum and early motherhood. I am thankful for each of you and the relationships we've built along the way! I love you all so much!

So excited for my long time friend, Kay Renea to have her 2nd baby, and my 2nd time being her doula! Such an honor to be by her side supporting her and witnessing another sweet baby joining their family! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We never knew 13 yrs ago, when we were CNA's that we'd still be friends, and I'd be her doula, 2 times! Love this so much!

Good morning! Between the births, prenatals, overnight/day time postpartum shifts, I've been updating things at The Motherhood Lounge ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜

We expanded our play area, and we created a whole resource closet, that includes diapers, wipes, formula, pregnancy tests, period products, postpartum products, as well as gently used maternity clothes and 0-12 month baby clothes!

This truly has been a labor of love, with so many moms from our local community bringing donations! We are so incredibly grateful for each of you! โค๏ธ

Creating a safe, inviting space for mothers and their little ones to come hang out, find support, whether in pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding or just motherhood in general. Mama's finding their village is so important, and this is the whole reason we created The Motherhood Lounge!

And yes, we get asked all the time..."But aren't you just Doulas?" We are doulas, lactation specialists, IBCLC, etc...with a much bigger vision and mission!

๐Ÿ‘‰We have created the 1st doula-owned Maternal Wellness & Resource Center south of St. Louis, and this is just the beginning.

Our vision goes far beyond birth and postpartum support. We're working to bridge the gaps in maternal healthcare, especially in our rural communities, by bringing education, resources, community partnerships, and compassionate, hands-on support together under one roof. Deeply rooted, heart-led, mama focused.
