Happy to be celebrating our 6TH YEAR as iconic tattoo & body piercing at 3401 cass avenue in the corridor~

Every once in a while, Facebook (which blocked our main account admin over a year ago) drops it's guard and, through a bunch of back roads via the 'help' section, I can trick it into letting me arrive at 'Create Post.' Today is that day!

Between those times, we very much appreciate the occasional check-in & question responder Rich Hartwick stepping in to respond on our behalf.

I'll try to sneak in again soon!

Hello everyone!

It's been a while!
We've been blocked from posting as we didn't realize FB had made it impossible for business accounts to function unless there was a personal account created/assigned to run it.
It's been working fine for yeeears FB, but okay... 🙄

So! For now, here's what's up at iconic! :)

Due to the pandemic, we are serving clients by appointment only. Our lobby is closed and we cannot admit anyone without an appointment.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but... safety first!

FOR TATTOO APPOINTMENTS: Please browse the artist portfolios on iconictattoodetroit.com and choose the artist you would like to do your tattoo. You may contact them directly via a link and send your ideas, placement of the tattoo, and approximate size.

YAY! Process started!

FOR PIERCING (& piercing related) APPOINTMENTS: You may call the studio directly to book. Since we're appointment only, our hours vary.

ALL PIERCING RELATED SERVICES, including jewelry purchases, are appointment-only at this time.

NO PIERCINGS or other services that fall inside of the masked area will be performed at this time. We will resume piercing under the masked area when both the law is lifted and it is safe to do so.

NO PIERCINGS ON MINORS will be performed at this time, as we can only allow one client in the procedure room. We will resume piercing minors when it is safe to do so.

Hello everyone! These, to say the least, are some challenging times. We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe...

One thing has remained unchanged - your safety, as well as the safety of the staff, is paramount. That is why we'll be using the remainder of June to get new procedures, policies and physical modifications to the shop in place before reopening on July 6th.

On behalf of the entire staff, we look forward to seeing and serving you once again. Those with appointments in March will be contacted soon to rebook. Once March clients are taken care of, we'll move into April and so on.

We appreciate your patience while we work to be sure everyone is accommodated.

I was searching for an image of an antique stop sign for today's post when our piercer, Rich, told me he'd seen an image days ago and saved it for me, knowing I'd love it (he was right).

Asking if we're open is one thing (which we are not, nor are we sure when we will be), but...

Please, PLEASE give us the respect of knowing that we are NOT the type of studio who will toss safety and ethics to the side to come in if you 'roll by' or 'when no one's around,' to do the piercing or tattoo that you simply cannot wait any longer to get.

PLEASE know that any shop who WILL, cares far more for what's in your wallet than in what's in your best interest.

We can appreciate that you've been patient this whole time, and we are so grateful that you want to come and see us- we want to see you, too, but NOT until it is safe to do so.

😷🖤

PS: We don't know who altered the batman comic, but we appreciate and applaud their awesomeness.

Hello pals... strange times indeed. We hope things are going okay for all of you out there, though it's clear that some of you are having it really rough right now. You're in our thoughts, for sure...

So, it looks as though we may be closed for quite a while, which is fine; whatever is the best and safest for everyone is what we'll do.

We will continue to keep you updated, and if you have an upcoming appointment, rest assured you'll be hearing from us soon. I (kelli again, hi) will continue to check in at the shop, so if you leave a message i'll get back with you asap. Or give me a shout when I'm back on Wednesday morning (11AM) and we can talk then. Except for you, Google. Stop calling me.

Hope everyone's piercings and tattoos are healing up well. If anyone needs an emergency bottle of briotech, I'm sure we can figure out a safe way to get it to you.
