Join us in celebrating our incredible patient, Joselyn Smalls-Huff!

Joselyn is officially a graduate of Tennessee State University, where she just earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health! We could not be prouder of her hard work and dedication.

Joselyn is deeply passionate about healthcare and is on a mission to improve patient outcomes through quality care and exceptional service. But she’s just getting started! Next up, she plans to obtain her certification in Sterile Processing and continue her education in Surgical Technology. Her ultimate goal is to build a rewarding career dedicated to patient safety and supporting surgical teams in delivering top-tier care.

Dr. Hill and the entire team are absolutely thrilled for Joselyn as she steps into this exciting next chapter. With her passion, drive, and brilliant smile, we know she is going to do amazing things for the healthcare community!

Ivan has been a beloved member of our patient family since 2013—we’ve literally watched him grow up in our chairs, and we could not be prouder of the person he has become!

We have some absolutely fantastic news to share: Ivan has officially graduated from the University K-12 Academy in Southfield Lathrup! But he isn't stopping there. He is staying local and heading to Wayne State University this fall to major in Business Administration!

Ivan, our entire team wishes you nothing but massive success, thrilling adventures, and endless curiosity as you step into this exciting next chapter of life. Know that your Detroit Caring Dentistry family is cheering you on every single step of the way!

We are absolutely thrilled to highlight Darius Gamble as our Patient of the Week! Darius has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for a year now. We are so proud to shine our spotlight this week on one of our absolute favorites — Poppy Lyttle-King! Poppy has been a cherished patient of Detroit Caring Dentistry for four years, and we can honestly say that seeing her walk through our doors never gets old. From day one, Poppy has embodied exactly the kind of patient community we are so grateful to have built here — warm, wonderful, and always bringing great energy to the room.

We have always taken pride in creating an environment where every visit feels less like a dental appointment and more like a warm, welcoming experience — from the quality of care our team delivers to the laid-back, feel-good soundtrack playing throughout the office all day long. Hearing Poppy say the music is classic? That means a lot to us. Good vibes are part of the treatment plan.

During her most recent visit, Poppy shared some incredibly exciting news — her 4-year-old twins are headed to pre-K this fall! 🎒 We could not be more thrilled for her and her family. Detroit Caring Dentistry is delighted to introduce our newest "Patient of the Week," Jace Wynn. As a new member of our office community, Jace’s initial visit was a significant occasion for our entire team. We believe that establishing a positive and supportive environment is essential for our younger patients as they begin their journey toward lifelong oral health.

Dr. Hill has long been a dedicated advocate for youth dental hygiene, rooted in the belief that healthy habits formed early create a foundation for a lifetime of wellness. This commitment is deeply personal; Dr. Hill recalls consistently encouraging his own daughters during their childhood to prioritize their care. His advice remains a cornerstone of his practice: through diligent brushing, daily flossing, and a balanced diet, a vibrant and healthy smile can be maintained for years to come.

We are so excited to announce this week’s Patient of the Week, the wonderful Eleanor Aro! Eleanor has been part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for twenty years—or as she put it with a beautiful smile, "basically since birth!" It has been an absolute joy watching Eleanor grow up in our office over the decades. Trust is the greatest compliment we can receive, and we are incredibly honored that the Aro family chooses Dr. Hill for their dental care. Having the opportunity to serve multiple generations of the same family is exactly why we love what we do here in Detroit, and we are incredibly happy to have won the family's trust in our services.

There is even more to celebrate this spring, as Eleanor is graduating this May from the University of Michigan with her Master’s degree in Environmental Justice. Eleanor, your hard work and dedication are truly inspiring, and huge congratulations are in order for such an amazing achievement! Benji has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for a year now, and we’ve loved every minute of having him in our chairs. As you can tell from that incredible smile, Benji was thrilled to be our featured patient. He is clearly making the most of his Spring Break, and his energy is the perfect match for these early days of the season.

It is our distinct pleasure to announce the Williams family as this week’s featured "Patient of the Week" at Detroit Caring Dentistry. Iesha, Anthony, AJ, Akari, Ava, and Ayah have been valued members of our practice for four years, and their presence consistently brings a vibrant energy to our office. The Williams family shared that they chose our practice because of the welcoming atmosphere, stating, “We love Detroit Caring Dentistry; it feels like family every time we come in, from the smiles and happy approach when we enter the room to leaving out. We know that this family is in good hands.”

Beyond their commitment to dental health, the family is celebrating two significant academic milestones this spring. Anthony Jr. is set to graduate from middle school as a member of the Honor Society, maintaining an impressive 4.0 GPA, while Akari is also celebrating her graduation as she prepares to transition into middle school. We are incredibly proud of these students' achievements and are honored to serve as the dental home for such a dedicated and hardworking family.
