✨ Meet Faryn ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Faryn Sand, MA, to The Hearth.

Faryn is a Mindfulness Coach and Certified Reiki Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mind-Body Psychology & Education from Columbia University. For the past 8 years, she has supported both adults and children through her deeply compassionate, trauma-informed approach to healing.

Her Reiki sessions blend Usui Reiki with other energetic healing traditions to promote relaxation, realignment, and a profound sense of being supported. Clients often describe her presence as warm, grounded, and deeply nurturing.

Through mindfulness coaching, Faryn helps clients cultivate self-compassion, reconnect with themselves, shift long-held patterns, strengthen relationships, and create a greater sense of balance and belonging. While she has a special passion for supporting caretakers, her practice welcomes anyone seeking a deeper connection to themselves and their healing journey.

Meet Laura McLelland, MS, OTR/L

Laura brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, intuitive care, and a deep passion for holistic wellness to The Hearth. An Occupational Therapist since 2014, she has supported individuals across pediatrics, early intervention, and geriatric settings, always with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Her extensive training through the Upledger Institute includes Craniosacral Therapy I & II, SomatoEmotional Release, and Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy. Laura is also certified in all five levels of Dynamic Body Balancing, allowing her to offer deeply restorative support that honors the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

With more than 20 years of business experience and ongoing studies in Feng Shui, Laura’s work is rooted in the belief that healing happens not only within the body, but also within the environments we create. She is passionate about helping people cultivate greater balance, ease, and well-being in every aspect of life.

Known for her gentle presence and whole-person perspective, Laura empowers others to reconnect with their innate capacity for healing, resilience, and growth.

With more than 35 years of experience in customer relations, marketing, and organizational leadership, Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and heart to our growing community. As Office Manager, she will oversee daily operations, support practitioners, assist clients, and help ensure every experience at The Hearth feels welcoming, seamless, and supportive.

Nancy is also a Reiki practitioner with a deep appreciation for holistic wellness and the mind-body connection. Her compassionate nature, intuitive presence, and genuine desire to help others feel their best make her an invaluable part of our team. She believes in the power of women supporting women and is passionate about helping create a space where healing, connection, and community can flourish.

I recently had a conversation with a fellow wellness practitioner about humility in healing professions.

One thing I deeply value about the wellness community is the opportunity to learn from one another. No matter how much experience we have, there is always another perspective, skill set, or modality that can benefit the people we serve.

The truth is that none of us can be everything to everyone, and that’s a beautiful thing.

The best practitioners I know collaborate openly, refer confidently, celebrate each other’s successes, and remain lifelong students.

Because if we’re claiming to support healing, growth, and wholeness, staying open to learning and honoring the contributions of others is an important part of that journey.

Humility looks good on healers, and collaborations benefit everyone. At The Hearth, we are checking our egos at the door 😉
