Su***de prevention starts long before a crisis. Open conversations, shared resources, and visible awareness make a real difference. September is Su***de Prevention Month. Throughout the month, we will be posting about a theme. This week is prevention: Prevention is everyone’s responsibility, not just one organization’s. Families, schools, workplaces, faith communities, health systems, and individuals all have a role to play.

We recently welcomed community members to a Friend to Friend learning session at the The Center Clinic in Dorchester Center focused on uterine cancer awareness and education. During the conversation, Jissy Cyriac, M.D., a senior associate consultant in community internal medicine at Mayo Clinic, shared information about prevention, early detection and the importance of staying informed about health concerns.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us to learn, ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion. Community conversations like these help connect people with trusted health information and support informed decision-making.

We are very proud to celebrate the new graduates of the Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program.
This program stands out for its academic excellence, robust clinical training, and its leaders' commitment to developing highly competent physicians who are dedicated to their communities. Its graduates are highly valued and go on to pursue careers at prestigious institutions, where they continue to make a difference in their patients' lives.
