Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

I’ve had the immense honor of supporting women in breastfeeding their babies for almost 10 years and I’ve had the privilege of nursing my own four babies for a collective 7 years.

I see and know all the work it takes to feed your baby from your body. I see the sacrifice and late nights and learning to latch and figuring out pumping and the washing of parts and bottles and the feeling like a stranger in your own body and the loving of nursing cuddles.

I also see the strength is takes to decide to stop nursing when circumstances and barriers beyond your control exist.

Proud of you through it all.

And here’s to continuing the work to breakdown breastfeeding barriers.
