I am very pleased to know that I can be seen in Donalsonville. It saves me a lot of miles. I can honestly say that the staff and doctors are always very nice and make me feel comfortable. ( I do have white coat syndrome 😜 ) I appreciate the kindness that this old woman receives. God bless all of you. ❤️

Please join me in welcoming Maddie McDaniel, who will be joining us as our Ultrasound Team. She will be working closely with our team to support our mission of delivering exceptional cardiovascular care to our patients and community.

Visit was good as always. Saw Jeff Cook, CRNP and one of his associates. They are always supportive and willing to assess your situation in a very friendly and professional manner. I feel SE CARDIOLOGY is excellent. Dr Centafont is great!

📣 Important Insurance Update for Our Patients

Beginning May 1, UnitedHealthcare will begin enforcing a policy change that may affect how your visit is covered at our office.

While this policy was introduced earlier this year, the grace period ends May 1, 2026, meaning claims may now be denied if required referrals are not on file.

Because our clinic is classified as a specialty provider, some UnitedHealthcare plans (especially Medicare Advantage HMO/POS plans) may now require a referral from your primary care provider (P*P) for your visit to be covered.

➡️ What this means for you:
• If a referral is required and not on file, your visit may not be covered by insurance
• Requirements vary depending on your specific plan

➡️ What you can do:
• Contact your P*P to obtain a referral before your visit (if required)
• Call your insurance company to verify your benefits
• Reach out to our office—we’re happy to help guide you

At Southeast Cardiology Clinic, our focus is simple: you!!

We are proud to remain an independent practice—not aligned with any single hospital—because our priority is keeping our patients healthy, informed, and out of the hospital whenever possible.

Dr. Nelson Gwinn, Dr. Christopher Centafont, and our entire team of providers are deeply committed to serving the Wiregrass community, including our patients across Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. While we utilize both hospitals in our area when needed, every decision we make is guided by what’s best for our patients—not a system.

We are currently accepting new patients and are grateful for the trust of our long-standing patient family.
