Due to unforseen circumstances, SHA Diabetes Center is temporarily closed until further notice. If you have an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest ER. If you need immediate refills, please contact your primary care doctor for courtesy refills. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

On January 7 of this year, approximately three weeks ago, a patient arrived at our center after driving in with a blood glucose level of 36 mg/dL and apparent symptoms of a life-threatening glycemic emergency. At these low levels, many patients do not survive.
Our team immediately stabilized the patient and contacted emergency medical services for transport to the hospital. By the grace of God, the patient survived.
This case exemplifies the critical and specialized role the SHA Diabetes Center plays in our community. None of this would have been possible without your continued support.
We encourage you to reach out to SHA for comprehensive diabetes-specific care, including patient education, insulin therapy, insulin pump services, management of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), wound care, and more.
