Kimberton Whole Foods We serve as a community market with a passionate commitment to integrity, sustainable agriculture, and fair trade. It has been serving the community since 2007.

Our Douglassville location is conveniently located right off of Route 422, set in the shadow of Monocacy Hill among the farms, vineyards, and bakeries of Berks County. Visit our store for organic produce, raw dairy, humanely-raised meats, specialty and gourmet foods, baked goods, supplements, natural body care, and household items. For 58 years, the Literacy Council has been the cornerstone of adult education in Berks County, delivering comprehensive literacy programs that evolve alongside the needs of our community. As a leading authority in adult literacy, the Literacy Council has built strategic partnerships with a diverse network of organizations across the region, allowing them to deliver a cohesive, impactful continuum of adult literacy and workforce development services throughout Berks County. Their students bring remarkable motivation and dedication to their learning journeys, pursuing one-on-one tutoring in basic education, high school equivalency diploma preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, and citizenship preparation. ArtFusion 19464 is a non-profit community art center with a mission to provide opportunities to experience the visual arts in an environment of encouragement and dignity. Their vision is to inspire an art full life for all. Located in a restored industrial building in downtown Pottstown, theyโ€™ve been serving our community for over 21 years, offering art classes for all ages and skill levels in a wide variety of topics, from traditional drawing and painting to stained glass and pottery.

They work with the community to provide engaging tuition-based art classes, sponsored free programs, and need-based scholarshipsโ€”all taught by professional artists. Plus, they travel off-site to serve students who cannot come to their facility, including the Pottstown School District and local senior centers and assisted living facilities.

Last Friday, we were honored to join Rodale Institute for the groundbreaking of their future Center for Regenerative Organic Innovation and attend the annual Organic Field Day ๐ŸŒฑ

Alongside friends and partners including Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, Painterland Sisters, Bell & Evans, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and many others, we celebrated the research, education, and collaboration helping shape the future of regenerative organic agriculture. The new center will expand Rodale's ability to train farmers, advance research, and foster the innovation needed to build a more resilient food system.

At Kimberton Whole Foods, supporting organic and regenerative agriculture has been part of our mission from the very beginning. Like Rodale, we believe healthy soil is the foundation of a healthier food system, stronger communities, and a better future for all.
