History
After years of working as an Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist (RDN), I began my yoga training almost 10 years ago. Meeting Mabes Morrill was a life changing moment for me. She taught yoga in Delaware for 45 years. I had recently lost my mother and found it inspiring to see that at over 90 years of age she was healthier and sharper than many people half her age. Yoga seemed to be benefitting her greatly. In 2015, she began training me to take over her classes in Dover, which I taught until September of 2019. I continued to build on my practice and completed formal Yoga Teacher Training. After meeting Doctor Ganesh Balu -- an MD who specializes in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Pain -- I began teaching yoga classes at his facility in Dover in the fall of 2019. Dr. Balu provides an integrated program that is not offered in most traditional Eastern Medicine practices in the U.S. His Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center is located in Dover, Delaware. In addition to my yoga classes, his center provides many comprehensive programs for pain control including Yoga Therapy, Physical Therapy, Massage, Acupuncture, PRP, Stem Cell Injections and Counseling. Dr. Balu’s office on the 2nd floor of 240 Beiser Road in Dover, provides the ideal location for a variety of yoga classes. Class Schedule
There are 3 types of classes available for all levels of students at Dover Yoga: Yoga for beginners and intermediates, Gentle Yoga for people recovering from various injuries or limited mobility, and Mommy/Daddy & Toddler Classes.
