National Lymphatic Centers thanks Najwa Omran for sharing this thoughtful review ✨

Najwa describes arriving at NLC feeling severely inflamed, congested, and physically uncomfortable. Through proper Lymph Drainage performed by Sharon M Vogel, CLT, LMT, BCTMB, she explains that she began noticing changes in real time during her sessions, including feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to her body.

She also highlights the educational side of care at NLC, learning about inflammation, lymphatic function, dry brushing, stress reduction, and how the body responds when lymphatic congestion is properly addressed.

At National Lymphatic Centers, treatment is approached with precision, education, and clinical understanding. The goal is not relaxation massage alone, but proper lymphatic application designed to support swelling and inflammation management when appropriate for the client.

Do You Know the Founder of NLC?

✨ Meet the Founder
β†’ www.lymphatics.net/promo.asp

National Lymphatic Centers was founded in 1991 by Sharon M. Vogel, BS, CLT, LMT, LC, BCTMB ✨

With decades of clinical experience in Lymph Drainage and Lymphedema care, Sharon established NLC with a strong emphasis on education, proper technique, and selective care standards. Her leadership helped shape the clinical foundation that continues across all National Lymphatic Centers locations today.

NLC focuses specifically on inflammation, swelling, and lymphatic concerns through structured, clinically informed care. Every therapist is trained to uphold the same standards that helped establish the NLC name.

✨ FAQ Time
β†’ How can you prevent herxing after lymphatic drainage?

NLC Founder, Sharon M Vogel, CLT, LMT, BCTMB, addresses a frequently asked question. ✨

Q: How can I prevent herxing after a massage or lymphatic drainage treatment?
A: Before lymphatic drainage or massage, the terminus (venous angle) should be opened to allow lymph fluid to drain properly into the bloodstream.

After treatment, it may help to gently stimulate this area regularly to encourage lymph fluid to continue flowing back toward the venous angle and proper drainage pathways.

Once a lymphatic water current has been created during the session, the body may continue draining afterward. Supporting that flow with proper technique and sequencing is part of appropriate lymphatic care.

Did You Know About Supporting Lymph Health From Home?
β†’ www.lymphatics.net/promo.asp

National Lymphatic Centers shares an important educational reminder ✨

There are supportive actions that may help encourage lymphatic movement at home when performed appropriately. However, effectiveness depends on proper technique, direction, sequencing, and understanding of lymphatic pathways.

Here are 5 supportive lymph health steps often discussed by lymphatic professionals:

1️⃣ Try Dry Brushing
One of several supportive steps that may be done at home to encourage lymphatic movement. You can also check out our FREE Ultimate Guide in the comments for additional supportive lymph

2️⃣ Drink More Water
Hydration is an important component of normal fluid exchange within the body. Supporting hydration may help encourage healthy lymphatic flow.

3️⃣ Learn Proper Lymphatic Techniques
Lymph drainage is not random pressure or aggressive massage. Proper sequencing and trained technique are essential for appropriate lymphatic support and movement.

4️⃣ Temperature Changes and Circulation
Cold plunges, contrast showers, infrared, and sauna exposure may influence circulation and muscular response. Alternating temperatures may create a pumping effect that encourages movement within the circulatory and lymphatic systems when approached appropriately.

5️⃣ Walking and Movement
The lymphatic system relies heavily on muscle movement because it does not have its own pump. Walking and regular movement may help encourage lymphatic circulation and support healthy function.

At National Lymphatic Centers, lymphatic care is grounded in anatomy, physiology, and clinical application. Education is provided with intention to ensure safe and appropriate support of lymphatic function. Established in 1991, this is the standard.

Questions about lymphatic drainage, swelling, or appropriate home support may be directed to the NLC team for guidance.
