We are so incredibly excited to announce our 2nd Annual International Yoga Day Celebration in collaboration with the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation! ☀️🌴

I’ll never forget the first time I celebrated International Yoga Day and completed all 108 Sun Salutations. It was a beautiful, moving meditation, but it was definitely a physical feat! That exact experience is why I wanted to create a challenge to help our community safely build up to that practice.

In preparation for the big day, we are launching a FREE 21-Day Sun Salutation Challenge starting June 1st! 🗓️

Over three weeks, we will collectively build up for the International Day of Yoga and the Summer Solstice. This journey is a way to develop and explore your practice, discover your personal balance of strength and flexibility, and truly experience yoga as a moving meditation.

As a teacher, accessibility is everything to me. Whether you are doing your Sun Salutations on a mat or flowing from a chair, I want to make sure YOU can participate. We are keeping this practice Real. Aligned. Whole., no matter where your starting line is.

I look forward to seeing you, flowing with you, and building this energy together!

👇 WANT TO JOIN THE CHALLENGE?
Drop a ☀️ or "108" in the comments below, and I will instantly DM you the link to register for free and download your daily tracker!

🎟️ *P.S. Don’t forget to grab your free ticket for the live Fort Lauderdale event on June 21st! The Eventbrite link is in my bio.

Got milk?Coconut Milk that is…
I realized that I have taken a lot of information for granted. Growing up in a Haitian household as the only girl meant cooking was not optional. Not only that we made a lot of things from scratch like coconut milk. I thought it was common knowledge until I was cohosting an event years ago and was making coconut from scratch (no blender just a grater made from coconut shell, water, and a strainer) and people watched in amazement. I remember thinking we shouldn’t be so disconnected from how food is grown or prepared.

So how do you make coconut milk the same way you do a nut milk (a coconut is a big fat nut)

Distilled water and coconut.

Young coconut meat Recipe:
I like my milk thick. So I usually do a 2 part water to 1 part meat ratio. Through it in a blender. Blend for 20-30 seconds viola you are done. I dont add sweeteners because I use the milk for savory and sweet dishes.

Old coconut (brown shell)
Break the shell open and cut the coconut into pieces. Add to blender with water (1:3 ratio) blend . Strain milk in nut milk bag or cheesecloth.

Old school in the country method:

Break the shell open and cut the coconut into pieces. Grate coconut meat. Place in bowl with warm water. Strain with cheesecloth or strainer. Repeat until the water is watery.

Note: you can use the pulp to make a lot of things like coconut flour. Dehydrate the pulp place in high speed blender or food processor. Process until it becomes fine flour. Now you are ready  baking.
