All of the channels can be used to treat trauma, as long as we understand the physiology for the specific person + how to apply the channels.

In acupuncture school, we all learn a modern version of the eight extraordinary channels called master-couple points. The treatment is simple—you needle these two points (often bilaterally) with no particular technique & then add some other points that you think will help—“just in case points” as Cody Dodø calls them😆

This is what we were taught in TCM schools, so how would we know that this really isn’t doing what we think it is? And we weren’t taught how to diagnose them properly either😢😭

Dr. Ann Cecil-Sterman | Classical Chinese Medicine Teacher’s live classes start in July; check her website for all the dates, & as soon as I can get situated in France, I’m going to roll out some class options.

Please let me know what questions you have, so I can best help.

🚢A rising tide floats all boats, & I want Chinese medicine to be elevated to its rightful place in society, & that happens when we share information & help everyone get a deeper understanding of the practice they love.

There’s so much good stuff to talk about in this arena💫

PS: substitute cancer with any disease state; it’s the same thing, just to different degrees.

The bottom line is that there’s more to it than simply blood & qi stagnation, & when we understand better what underlies blood & qi stagnation, we can better help our patients.

The primary channels—BY DESIGN—do not reach the level where medium is consolidated or built, & this is why it’s so important to know all the channels.🌟🌟🌟

Acupuncture research can be exciting, but I find that usually it serves to push the profession into a more allopathic model, & that’s not where its strength lies.

There are amazing allopathic doctors when we need them; let’s make sure that there are enough amazing Chinese medicine doctors, not technicians, available when people go searching for that💫💫

I know you’re always looking to do the best you can for your patients, but this might be something no one taught you. So let’s talk about it:

Luo channels form when there is pathology to hold, & they use the blood to do it. So Luo channels can contribute to blood deficiency. 🌸

Release the Luo channel, free the pathology & put more blood back into circulation. 💫

We need to move blood to build blood, & Luo channels do this too🌟

What questions do you have about this? ⬇️

🚶listen to this on a walk🚶

Talking about how playing (acupuncture) without the full deck gives us some misunderstandings when it comes to learning the full system.

If you’re new here, 👋👋 hey, I’m MG, & I’m trying to help acupuncturists with what schools didn’t teach & patients with things medical doctors miss✨✨

I was about to hope in the shower the other day when I noticed these lung luo vessels, so I grabbed a lancet real quick.😆

🌟🌟🌟It’s important to remember that we don’t just poke whatever vessels we see; we have to open the channel first—or it’s not a proper Luo channel treatment.

The spleen has to do with worry & overthinking, & I teach you how to treat it & the liver luo in my miniclass.

🌟🌟Comment MINICLASS (one word) for the 🤖 to send to you.

In my experience, migraines are a much more deeply rooted pathology, & while luos are always part of the treatment, they aren’t the be all end all. But if we don’t clean out the closets, they’re just continuing to create heat & deplete you.

I’m excited to roll out several different ways to learn the complement channels as soon as humanly possible amongst an international move🤪

Until then, I do have a low cost miniclass that teaches you how to bleed the spleen & liver luo channels. I originally made this for non-acupuncturists, but acupuncturists got excited about it too🥳

Available on my website for whoever is interested. Comment MINICLASS & the 🤖 will send it direct.

TCM can be a big help, but it can also be like playing cards without the full deck.

You know like when you go on vacation & the Airbnb has a deck of cards that’s missing a few, so you make it work with what you’ve got.

That’s kinda what’s happening to all of us who went to TCM school, except a lot of us don’t even know what we’re missing.

But I’m not about that gatekeeping; a rising tide floats all boats, & I think it’s really important that acupuncturists & the public learn what came before TCM, so here I am😆🌟

I have a low cost miniclass that teaches how to bleed the spleen & liver luo channels, the channels that pertain to the emotions go worry & anger. This was designed for the public, but I’m so happy that acupuncturists have been interested!

Comment miniclass if you want the 🤖 to send you the link, & stay tuned for future opportunities to learn luos🌟🌟🌟

If you think about all the inputs to our systems—screens, text, social, education, news, sounds—it’s a wonder we can focus on anything at all.

Treating the large intestine luo is important for clearing out the cobwebs, so to speak, so that you can get focused again.

If you’re interested in learning how to use the luo channels, definitely follow along. I’m going to be offering different opportunities to learn with me.

Right now, I have a super low cost miniclass that teaches you how to treat the SP & LV luo channels, which have to do with the emotions of overthinking & anger. Comment MINICLASS, & the 🤖will send it over.
