As someone once said, when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. 🙏🏽😊
Last month, I was deeply honored to support Ulanda Marcus-Aiyeku (Dr. A), DNP, APN, PMHNP-BC, RPYB, NE-BC, Nurse Scientist at the Ann May Center for Nursing Research, along with her colleague Ushentha Nirmul, OTD, MA, OTR/L, Occupational Therapy Clinical Director/Supervisor in the Department of Professional Development and CME at Hackensack Meridian JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, and their dedicated bilingual team of occupational and physical therapists.
As the community liaison and cultural gatekeeper, along with my company, Integrity Recovery Connected, I am thrilled to serve as a vital resource for our community. Together, we aim to bridge the understanding that aging is a universal experience, yet some voices often remain unheard. It is crucial that we prioritize community outreach through research and education to ensure that no one is left behind.
I consider it a privilege to work alongside experts who embody humility and possess the innate strength to shine in their calling. I often describe Integrity Recovery Connected as a bridge over troubled waters, facilitating connections among champions, supporters, bystanders, and resisters. We provide a space where all stakeholders can engage with our vision at their own pace, allowing for those transformative “aha moments” to emerge naturally.
The caregiver perspective is invaluable in maintaining continuity of care for loved ones.
