Who knew one day I’d be bringing our daughter back to NCCU with the beauty brand we built together? 🥹💜🦅
If you know, you know! Kaylah used to be at the Child Development Center while I attended class. Now, years later, we’re back for Homecoming, representing our own beauty brand!

From those little campus days to building something of our own, look how far we’ve come! I’m so proud of the young woman she’s becoming and grateful that we get to share this journey together.

I had the opportunity to moderate and serve as a panelist for the HBCU Entrepreneurship Conference during the “Launching Innovative Ventures” session.

What I enjoyed most was hearing from the student founders on our panel — their ideas, the businesses they’re building, and the different paths that brought them to entrepreneurship.

As someone who has been on both sides of the conversation — education and entrepreneurship — I always appreciate the opportunity to share what I’ve learned while also learning from the next generation of founders.

Starting a business isn’t always a straight line, and you definitely don’t have to have everything figured out on day one. Sometimes you just have to start, learn, adjust, and keep building.

Thank you to Bowie State University for having me and, most importantly, thank you to the student founders who made this such a great conversation.

I’m looking forward to seeing where you all take your businesses. 👏🏽

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining the 6th Annual HBCU+ Entrepreneurship Conference at Bowie State University on Friday, October 2nd! 🎉
This year’s conference is bringing together innovators, student founders, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to explore how AI and entrepreneurship are shaping the future economy.

We had a great time at the Aggie-Eagle Classic connecting with the NCCU community and sharing Keisha Elise Cosmetics! 💄💕 There’s nothing like getting out in the community, meeting new faces, and seeing familiar ones come by to show us love.

The heat was definitely real, and the rain ended our day a little earlier than planned, so we didn’t get as much footage as we would’ve liked. But we’re grateful for every person who stopped by, shopped with us, and supported our brand. 🫶🏽
