This is a difficult post for me to write, especially after spending the last several months putting so much work into my new office.
Iāve made the difficult decision to close my healing practice and give up my office at the end of November.
I know some may think, āBut you just opened!ā And in many ways, thatās true. It took months to completely finish the new space. But the practice has been open and available for booking throughout that time. Iāve continued advertising and making appointments available, but unfortunately the bookings havenāt come in at a level that makes maintaining the practice financially sustainable.
What makes this especially difficult is that I had begun gaining traction at my previous location. When I had to move, I genuinely believed I was carrying that momentum into a larger space with room to grow. I poured an enormous amount of work, money and care into creating something beautiful because I believed in what I was building.
In one form or another, Iāve invested roughly 11 years into this work. When I returned to Sacramento, I was fully invested in making my practice my eventual exit from commercial driving.
I know businesses take time to grow. But there is also a financial reality to how much time you can afford to give something.
At some point, continuing to spend thousands of dollars maintaining a business while waiting and hoping for bookings to arrive stops making financial sense. Iāve reached that limit.
This isnāt because I stopped caring. I believe in this work and have invested heavily in my education, training and the spaces I created for my clients.
But caring about something doesnāt make an unsustainable expense sustainable.
Iām incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me with their care and supported me along the way.
My office will close at the end of November. For now, Iām going to finish this chapter thoughtfully and give myself room to figure out what comes next. š¤
