Rusty Savage started tattooing in the northwest over 40 years ago, opening his first studio in Eugene Oregon in October of 1975. Rusty went on to work with many Artists of the day during the 70's and 80's, traveling across the US. Studio Tattoo became a standard bearer for the "Old School" Tattoo Studios and was a busy shop with many world famous guest artists like, Paul Booth, RJ Rosini, Creeper,

Sailor Moses, Cory Miller, Fat Cat, Lyon King and many more. After 17 years on 6th avenue in Eugene, Rusty moved to Springfield and tattooed at 2 different locations for another 9 years. Mistie Shader joined Rusty in Springfield and worked for him for a couple of years. Previously, Mistie worked in Washington and Idaho prior to working at Studio Tattoo. She has 18 years experience, having spent several years working with Boo Maddox in Boise Idaho. Rusty and Mistie have joined to open the new Cottage Grove location together as a jount venture. Located in the Historic District, Studio Tattoo is a clean and artistic environment, dedicated to serving our customers with the best tattooing and customer care possible. Our appearance and style is strictly Old School Tattoo Shop all the way.
