BREAKING: Congress Sends H**p Extension to the President

The House of Representatives has passed the Continuing Resolution with the one-month h**p extension intact, sending the bill to the President’s desk.

This means Congress has now approved an extension of the impending federal h**p ban from November 12 to December 11, giving our industry critical additional time to continue working toward a responsible, long-term federal regulatory framework.

This victory belongs to all of us.

Over the past several weeks, the h**p community showed up in an extraordinary way. You sent emails and made phone calls. You shared action alerts with your networks. You contacted lawmakers, told your stories, signed letters, and made sure Congress understood what was at stake for farmers, small businesses, manufacturers, retailers, consumers, veterans, and families across the country.

Your advocacy mattered.

At several points during this process, the h**p extension faced real challenges. But our community continued to speak up, and today, Congress has sent the extension to the President’s desk.

We are incredibly grateful to every person and organization that answered the call and helped us reach this point.

Of course, our work is not finished. This extension gives us one additional month, and we intend to make every day count. We will continue working with lawmakers and stakeholders to advance a comprehensive federal framework that protects consumers, prevents youth access to intoxicating products, provides certainty for farmers and businesses, and preserves access to lawful h**p products.

There is significant work ahead, but today is a day to celebrate what we accomplished together.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for taking action. And most importantly, thank you for proving once again what this community can accomplish when we speak with one voice.

Stay tuned. We have a lot of work to do before December, and we will need you in on this fight for for smart, workable regulation that allows the h**p industry to thrive.

The Federal Government has voted to completely ban all H**p products by this November!

URGENT Action Needed - Tell Your Senators to Protect the H**p Extension in the CR

Today, Today, Senator Ted Budd announced that he intends to offer an amendment to the Continuing Resolution (CR) that would remove the temporary extension protecting the h**p industry from the federal h**p ban. If introduced and adopted, this amendment would eliminate the critical extension included in the Senate funding bill and put the industry back on track for the sweeping federal h**p ban scheduled to take effect on November 12.

We need your help immediately.

Take Action
Please contact your U.S. Senators today and urge them to oppose Senator Budd's proposed amendment, or any similar effort, to remove the h**p extension from the Continuing Resolution.

Why This Matters
The temporary extension included in the CR is not a permanent solution. It simply provides Congress with additional time to complete work on a thoughtful, long-term h**p policy rather than allowing a sweeping ban to take effect before those discussions are finished.

Just as importantly, the h**p industry strongly opposes intoxicating h**p products marketed or sold to children. We support strong, enforceable safeguards- including strict age restrictions, child-resistant packaging, responsible labeling, and meaningful enforcement against bad actors. The extension gives Congress the opportunity to enact those protections the right way. Removing it now would not solve these issues- it would instead trigger an unnecessary ban before lawmakers have completed bipartisan negotiations on a comprehensive regulatory framework.

The extension:

Gives Congress time to finalize responsible h**p legislation.
Protects American farmers, manufacturers, retailers, and small businesses from unnecessary disruption.
Supports regulations that keep intoxicating products out of the hands of minors while preserving lawful h**p products.
Allows bipartisan negotiations to continue toward a lasting legislative solution.

Please contact your Senators today and urge them to vote NO on Senator Budd's proposed amendment or any similar effort to strike the h**p extension from the Continuing Resolution.
