There’s a huge difference between a licensed naturopathic doctor and lay naturopath.

Licensed naturopathic doctors have advanced training in both conventional medicine and natural medicine.

Scope of practice for NDs vary in each state and only half the states provide NDs licensure. Due to lack of universal licensure, certain individuals can call themselves naturopathic doctors in certain states despite not having similar training. Here are a few things to verify when searching for a naturopathic doctor.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Dr. Andrea Poy. I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor, and I graduated from Bastyr University of San Diego. I currently work with patients 1-1 through my own telehealth practice, Whole Health NWC.
