We would love to introduce everyone to Ashley! 🖤

Ashley has accepted the position as assistant to Jessica at the studio. This means there will be some changes happening over the next few weeks!

Ashley will be taking over some of the email responsilbilites, general studio help, and will be involved in some creative collaborations. This is a great change for the studio! Jess will still have an emergency work cell number for clients to utilize if they need to contact her directly, but to help things run more efficiently and consistently, Ashley will soon be the person clients are typically interacting with via emails. For now, this is only a change in regards to Jessica.

You may see Ashley at the studio on Saturdays or in the evening hanging out and helping around the studio. She is part of our team and we are lucky to have her help, experience, energy, and ideas! She may also be helping Jess with Adornment Garden next year as new services begin to be offered at the studio with Jessica's expansion.

Help give Ashley a warm welcome! We are very happy to have her with us. 😄

It took us a hot minute, but we have fresh merch, ready for pick up! Swing on through the studio or ask about grabbing a tshirt and hat at your next appointment. With Autumn approaching, hoodies are next on our list! Thank you for continuing to support us, our art, and our small business. We couldn't keep doing what we love without our community. grew up around tattooing, always loved drawing and painting, and spent a lot of time in the Duluth Denfeld High School art room!

Living a life dedicated to creating art has always been her hopeful dream-not just for herself, but in service to others, crafting meaningful pieces for people to carry with them.

After receiving her Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and studying studio art in college, Jessica began her tattoo journey in 2015.

The shared experience and intention between artist and client is tremendously important to Jessica. With a trauma-informed background, her approach helps ensure clients feel a sense of comfort and safety empowerment, trust, fun, and participation in the creative process. She believes in cultivating a well-rounded skillset in tattooing. The combination of artistry in various mediums, mindful client connection continuous learning, curiosity, and respect for the craft make tattooing a lifelong passion and gift.

Aiming to be well-rounded and genuinely enjoying multiple styles of tattooing, she has a personal passion for styles and subiect matters that include but are not imited to: large-scale black and arev and blackwork compositions, ornamental-focused work, neo-traditional with bold colors, illustrative, the occult, botanical and nature, mythology, mastectomy work, top scar coverups, and Japanese-influenced work. Her focus is to create tattoos for people that will stand the test of time, to cultivate a space where clients feel at home, and to meet people where they are at in their life.

Jessica is currently completing a 9 month Depth Psychology program. Upon completion she will be regulated by MDH as a Practitioner in the Alternative and Holistic Health Services within Fable Grove. She will share more towards the end of the year as she finishes her capstone project on opportunities with her in the studio alongside tattooing.

Outside of tattooing Jessica attends local events when she can. She did her very first burlesque performance this year and is excited to do more. She enjoys learning, tending to all her plants, magic, and snuggling at home with Josh and their fur babies.

✨️ARTIST SPOTLIGHT✨️

It's been a couple years since we shared about Fable Grove's other artists. We will start with shop dad!

Beginning his tattoo career in 2007, has expanded his knowledge of tattooing to offer the best he can for his clients. Exploring and becoming proficient in many different styles, he can create photo-realism, bold traditional, successful cover ups, or fine line tattoos. Whether you're looking for color or black and grey, Josh is comfortable and confident with both. Having over 15 years of experience, he has the knowledge to design tattoos that will stand the test of time. If you are in the process of deciding what you truly want for your tattoo, Josh is well-rounded and comfortable talking through an idea with you and creating a design while being honest about the integrity of the piece. His focus is to help you feel at ease during the process to ensure you can leave with a tattoo you will feel connected to for a lifetime.

On a personal level, Josh has a passion for taking on pieces that have an interesting story and utilizing special details to help showcase that for clients. This stems from an ongoing love of the stories and meanings within traditional Japanese tattooing. Whether it's a tattoo with deep personal meaning or an original flash design, all tattoos have a story behind them. Josh is continuously pushing his limits during the process in order to offer his personal best for each person in his chair.

In his free time, Josh has become a proud nerd. He enjoys spending time with his Dungeons and Dragons group, crafting, Magic the Gathering, goes to a local boxing gym, travels when he can, and gets outdoors with his partner and fur babies! His cooks dinner for his wife almost every day because it is his love language. Jess definitely doesn't mind the benefits that come with his love for cooking!

If you've noticed the plant jungle in the back of the studio, Josh tends to it weekly. He has become quite the plant dad! 🌿
