Depression is a serious but treatable mood disorder that affects how you feel, think, and handle daily activities. Symptoms must persist for at least 2 weeks to be diagnosed. Early treatment is key and can include therapy, medication, or both. Depression affects people of all ages, races, and genders. While women are more often diagnosed, men can also suffer but may be less likely to seek help. It can cause changes in appetite, sleep patterns, energy levels, and concentration. Recognizing these signs and seeking support is crucial. Remember, reaching out for help is a sign of strength. Let's break the stigma and support one another. You are not alone.

Did you know 1 in 5 people experience a mental health illness? It's important to recognize the signs, whether in yourself or someone you care about. Keep an eye out for:

-Persistent sadness or withdrawal lasting more than two weeks
-Severe mood swings impacting relationships
-Intense worry or fear disrupting daily life
-Sudden, overwhelming fear without reason
-Suicidal thoughts
-Changes in appetite
-Significant weight changes
-Risky behaviors
-Repeated substance abuse
-Changes in personality, behavior, or sleep patterns
-Difficulty concentrating or staying still
