Sometimes validation that this isn't all spiritual vaporware arrives in the most unexpected packages.
This week I learned that are met in the afterlife with a greeting that is in keeping with our personal beliefs, and I can't stop thinking about it.
I was asked by a client if I could offer anything to her family for comfort following a very tragic loss. I thought I would meditate on it and pull down some comforting words or maybe a somatic exercise.
Instead, I just got an image. I couldn't move beyond it and there was no additional information.
I had to confer with the client. I said this looks like some sort of bath or ritual bathing or healing facility. Perhaps a first stop in the afterlife?
We discussed it for a bit, and I asked AI to generate an image based on my description. I was shocked at how close it got and I shot the first result over by text.
At the same moment, the client sent me a photo of a historic bath house (Hammam) she had once toured.
I'm still floored at the similarity. This was all the confirmation I needed to know we were on the right track.
The client's family is Muslim, so it would make sense for spirit to offer comfort by saying. "We are tending to his soul with the utmost care."
But then it got deeper. When speaking to family again later, my client found out that his family was not able to receive his body. He was targeted by a drone while delivering food in his home town in Lebanon, and the Red Cross wanted to spare the family further trauma.
They were not able to perform the very sacred Muslim ritual of washing his body.
So, it was done for them on the other side. ♥️
I'm a skeptical person, but these kinds of interactions are making it harder and harder to stay that way.
For now, I will dream of the day when humans evolve past the need for endless wars.
