Dunbar Center held their first bowling tournament last week. Participants came through the fringe curtain to a whole new experience with black lights and balloons and a light up bowling set. Friends answered trivia questions to gain a turn. Everyone had an amazing experience. Even our Administrator Teiranee and Director of Nursing Jami took a turn!

Ask any of our residents what their favorite activity is and we'd be willing to bet they would all say, BINGO! In fact, BINGO is so popular that a unanimous vote was made to play every Tuesday, Thursday, AND Saturday.🤩

Once a month, our Activities Team holds a Saturday BINGO night for family and friends! What a great way for our residents to share one of their favorite activities with their loved ones.❤️

📰 Dunbar Centers sweet lady Norma has made it her job to deliver the morning paper “Everyday“.

🤲🏻Together, she and members of our Activities team go around the building and as she passes staff and residents she giggles and says “I love you”.

We share this because our residents are what makes working in a nursing home so wonderful. If you ever want to share in the blessings and volunteer or come do a craft please reach out to Sam, our Activities Director. You will be loved ❤️.

Admissions Director, Jenn Simmons wanted the Dunbar Center family to get in on the latest nationwide vintage trend so she reached out to Whitney, owner of Small Town Sparkle, to make arrangements for a porch goose to be delivered to the center. Unexpectedly, Whitney also donated 2 desk geese for our nurses station!✨️🪿

A HUGE shout out and big THANK YOU to Whitney and her husband John with Small Town Sparkle for showing Dunbar Center what small town love is!💗

Hundreds gathered at Valley Park on Thursday for the Annual Putnam County picnic! This year’s theme was “Global Gathering” which celebrated Americas 250th birthday while recognizing diverse cultures and countries.

Directors of Post Acute Partnerships brought a taste of French cuisine while sharing information about skilled nursing and services provided to the community. It was a great day of networking with many other healthcare providers.

Strong partnerships are key to ensuring our community receives the healthcare services they need and we're honored to play a role.
