I think a lot of women start businesses because somewhere along the line they realize they cannot keep pouring from an empty place.

Earth Mother Botanicals grew out of survival at first, if I’m honest. A desire to help support my family. A need to create something with my own hands that felt steady, creative and mine.

But somewhere along the way, it became more than that.

It became proof that I still exist underneath the noise. Underneath the schedules, homeschool, laundry, dishes, pressure, heartbreak, motherhood and all the invisible labor women carry every day.

This business is built slowly. In small batches. In stolen pockets of time. In faith. In exhaustion. In hope.

And maybe that’s why it means so much to me.

Thank you for supporting a real family, a real dream and work that comes from an actual human life.

Still recovering from the wind, the rain and trying to keep labels from flying into another county, but truly thank you to Rebel Co. for hosting such a beautiful market weekend. Good music, good people, wonderful customers and so many wonderful vendors to work alongside. Even while fighting the weather, everyone showed up with such kindness and good energy.

And a very special thank you to one of my very best friends, who drove two hours just to spend the weekend beside me. Helping customers, making me laugh, calming the chaos and reminding me why community matters so much in a small business.

These markets are exhausting, beautiful, messy little things and having someone in your corner makes all the difference 🤍 my heart is so full.

I hardly ever post myself, but hello I’m Emily.

I’d much rather meet you at a market, talk herbs and skincare in person and hand you something I made with my own two hands. I’m not much of an influencer!

I am a mother of four, homeschooler, maker of small-batch herbal goods and the hands behind Earth Mother Botanicals.

Most days look like herbs on the counter, children running barefoot, laundry waiting (so much laundry), something simmering on the stove and me trying to build a beautiful little life in the middle of it all.

Inventory is still light after the holidays, but fresh whipped tallow and our balms are back on the shelf.

Earth Mother Botanicals exists to bring skincare back to an older way of doing things. Nourishing formulas made slowly and with respect for the seasons. Every batch is made by a mother and used on her own family first.

We make small batches and restock the best we can. That part is intentional.

Buying something small from a local shop also counts as self care.

This basket found its way to a kindergarten teacher at Lake Fenton. Our hearts feel so full getting to gift something handmade to someone who pours care into little lives every day.

Good things grow when they’re tended well and teachers do that work quietly and with a lot of heart. Grateful for this small moment of giving back.
