Yesterday was a powerful reminder of the teamwork, compassion, and dedication that make critical care possible. 🚁❤️

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bryan County EMS for trusting Air Evac Lifeteam 174 with the care and transport of their critically injured patient. We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership and confidence of the EMS agencies we have the privilege of serving alongside.

We also want to recognize our fellow Air Evac crew at AEL 65. During an extensive blood product resuscitation, their crew went above and beyond to meet us and provide additional blood products from their aircraft, allowing our team to continue providing lifesaving care without interruption. Their willingness to help in a critical moment made a meaningful difference.

Moments like these remind us that exceptional patient care is never the work of just one crew or one agency. It takes communication, collaboration, trust, and people willing to step up for one another when every minute matters.

Thank you, Bryan County EMS and AEL 65, for standing beside us and being such an important part of this team. We are truly grateful for your partnership. ❤️🚑🚁

Meet Lucas Peevyhouse, our Base Pilot Supervisor at Air Evac Lifeteam 174! 🚁

Some people make an impact that is hard to fully put into words, and Lucas is one of those people.

Lucas served 12 years in the U.S. Army, is a Purple Heart recipient 💜, and has been flying with Air Evac for nearly 18 years. His experience, dedication, and leadership are evident in everything he does, and the respect our crew has for him runs deep.

Lucas is steady, calm, and dependable; the kind of leader who brings confidence to the entire team. He values working together as one crew, promotes professionalism, and is deeply committed to the high standards we hold for ourselves and for the patients we serve.

He is always there with sound advice, encouragement, and a level head when things get chaotic. He leads by example, carries himself with humility, and somehow still finds time to keep us supplied with plenty of dad jokes along the way. 😂

To our crew, Lucas is more than an exceptional pilot and leader, he is truly the glue that holds our base together. There are not enough words to fully express the gratitude, admiration, and appreciation we have for him.

Lucas, thank you for your service, your leadership, your integrity, and your unwavering commitment to this team and the communities we serve. We are incredibly proud to work alongside you, and we truly believe you are one of the best there is. 💙

Today we’re celebrating one year of Bre being part of the Air Evac family!

We are so proud to have her on our team. Bre is always a smiling face around the base and brings so much joy, positivity, and energy to everyone she works with.

Meet Dow Henderson, the helicopter mechanic who helps keep Air Evac Lifeteam 174 in the air! 🚁🔧

Dow is an incredibly important part of our team. While our medical crews care for patients in the back, Dow is one of the people working behind the scenes to make sure our aircraft is safe, maintained, and ready when the call comes in.

But if you know Dow, you also know he’s about as friendly as they come. He’s always ready with a smile, always available for a conversation… and if we’re being completely fair, Dow can probably out-talk every single one of us. 😂

His personality makes him easy to love, but it’s the work he does every day that earns our absolute trust and appreciation. Knowing Dow is taking care of our aircraft gives our crews confidence every time we lift.

We truly appreciate everything you do for 174, Dow. We’re lucky to have you!

🚁 A great day of teamwork with our neighbors to the south!

Air Evac Lifeteam 174 responded to Bonham, Texas for a scene flight, transporting our patient to Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

A huge thank you to Bonham Fire for the incredible care, communication, and collaboration on scene. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated first responders and for the partnerships that allow us to provide seamless care from the scene to the receiving facility.

Proud to serve our communities on both sides of the Red River! ❤️🚁

Behind those wings are countless hours of training, long shifts, challenging calls, and a steadfast commitment to providing exceptional care to patients on some of the hardest days of their lives. Reaching 100 patient flights is a reflection of the professionalism, compassion, and dedication that make a great flight clinician.
