I created this tagline strategically. There are so many unprofessional and unethical mediums opening up shop who fail to meet basic standards of ethics that I not only thought it was important to create a tagline I could proudly stand behind, but I wanted to subtly alert those looking for readings to the fact that I am an ethical medium, that I list it right below my name so the two will always be synonymous. In fact, I believe in ethics in mediumship so deeply that I wrote the original guidelines for ethics and responsibilities in mediumship. I want my clients to understand the reverence I have for my work with regard to my responsibility to both the client and the spirit communicator. As a teacher and a leader in the mediumship community, I also disseminate these guidelines to others so they will also have a strong foundation in ethics. ABOUT ME
In my life outside of mediumship, I am a busy mom of three teenage boys and live in Connecticut (from Georgia). I work in operations management for a small biotech company in New York City, but work mostly from home since Covid began. I have a BA in Communications and am completing my MS in Public Relations. I am a prolific writer and family historian/genealogist. I have been running practice circles in evidential mediumship for 5+ years, taught development circles for all levels of mediums, and I teach a many mediumship courses. Other interests in the spiritual and psychic field include: Controlled Remote Viewing, Associative Remote Viewing, trance healing/meditation/speaking/evidential, hands-on healing, astral projection, hemi-sync, and heart-brain coherence, spiritual assessments, home assessments. Outside of my spiritual work, I am a writer and post poems, stories, and essays to my blog and Substack (Queen Rowdy). Other interests outside of spiritual work include: gardening, biking, working out, music, travel, family history, playing Zelda with my boys, planning class reunions, and I'm creating a writing course I can teach at local colleges. I grew up loving Casper the Friendly Ghost and Boo Berry was my favorite cereal! The Sacred Fifth Element | The Inspiration Behind Aethera Coaching

The ancients believed there was a fifth element beyond Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.

They called it Aether.

The unseen.The luminous.The connective essence that weaves all things together.

To the Greeks, it was the breath of the heavens.To Hermetic philosophers, the living field between spirit and matter.To alchemists, the quintessence hidden within all things.To Eastern traditions, the vast spaciousness of consciousness itself.

Aether was never emptiness.

It was presence.Possibility.The quiet intelligence beneath creation.

The space between thoughts.The stillness beneath noise.The invisible thread between people, spirit, memory, and meaning.

Across traditions, humanity has returned to the same knowing:

There is more to life than what can be seen.

Perhaps this is why we are drawn to stillness, prayer, creativity, trance, nature, music, and wonder. Somewhere within us lives the memory of connection.

Aether reminds us that we are not separate.

We belong to something vast, sacred, and beautifully interconnected.

Not everything meaningful can be held in the hands.

Some things are only meant to be felt.

The ancients believed the stars moved through Aether.

Perhaps we do, too. 🤍

Well… this resonates today like a broken heart. 💔

I feel this deeply, both as the words never spoken to people I truly loved who have since passed…

and as the important words purposefully withheld from me by the most significant person in my life. Words that should have validated something I always knew, but in their withholding, kept me from receiving the love, connection, and belonging I deserved from others who should have had the chance to love me too.

But just as tragic are the words I’ve never said to the people I love who are still here… because I fear they won’t be received with the tenderness and reverence with which they would be offered.

That’s a painful thing… to love someone deeply and feel as though your tender heart is handled casually instead of cherished.

And yet… whether I do or I don’t, I encourage you to say the words anyway.

Because one day, there may not be a tomorrow left in which to say them.

I hear the word “channel” used a lot in the mediumship community, and honestly, I don’t resonate with it at all.

Yes, when we are actually giving a reading for a client or working publicly in demonstration, we should strive to simply receive and express as cleanly as possible. That part matters deeply. We don’t want to over-interpret, force meaning, or make stories out of simple evidence.

But to reduce mediumship to “just channeling” minimizes what this work actually is. Channeling is a one-way process:receive and express. Evidential mediumship is far more participatory than that.

In development and practice work, mediums regularly engage with spirit communicators consciousness-to-consciousness. We work on mechanics. We ask for specific information. We ask for names, relationships, evidence, memories, and messages. We ask for clarification when something isn’t clear and spirit responds.

Over time, through practice and experience, we build enough trust in that relationship that during actual readings we learn to allow spirit to lead more naturally, trusting that what is needed and what is for the highest good of the client will come forward.

But the participation never disappears. Every single time we ask spirit for a message, we are participating in the communication.

I’ve even had readings where a skeptical sitter was sitting in front of me and I internally said to spirit, “You’re going to have to work with me here if we’re going to get through this reading.”

And they did in big ways. That is not passive reception. That is interaction, cooperation, awareness, and relationship between consciousnesses.

That’s why I personally don’t see mediums as passive channels. I see us as clear conduits for spirit expression, actively engaged in an intelligent and deeply human exchange between worlds.
