Sometimes joy & fear arrive together. đź’ś

One of the things I’ve witnessed in my healing room is that a deeply wanted pregnancy doesn’t always arrive with uncomplicated joy.

Especially when there has been loss before.

I’ve worked with women who are incredibly grateful to be pregnant... and at the same time, hesitant to fully trust it.

There can be excitement about what’s ahead while another part is quietly holding its breath.

The next appointment.
The next milestone.
The next moment that makes it feel a little more real.

And I think sometimes there’s an expectation that once the thing you’ve hoped for finally happens, the fear should disappear.

But that isn’t always what I see.

This is one of the reasons I value energy work so much during this season.

There’s nothing I’m trying to convince a woman to feel when she comes into my space.

We don’t have to turn fear into positivity.
We don’t have to push away what came before.
And we don’t have to choose between gratitude for this pregnancy and the emotions that may still be present from the journey that led here.

The session can simply meet her where she is.

Sometimes we work gently with what she’s carrying and what feels ready to soften or release.

Other times, the work is simply about giving her a quiet place to settle into her body, receive, and be present with herself and this pregnancy — without needing anything from her.

I’ve seen how meaningful it can be to have a space where joy and fear don’t have to compete.

Where both can be acknowledged.
Where neither has to be explained away.
And where, for an hour, she can simply be held through this part of the journey too. 🤍

Held Through the Journey — Pregnancy After Loss

Last night, in our Heart Chakra work, I said something that made the room pause:

“We don’t have to understand everything we’re feeling in order to honor what we’re feeling”

There was relief in it.

Because how often do we feel something and immediately start trying to figure it out?

Why am I feeling this?
Where is this coming from?
Does this even make sense?
I thought I was over this.
What do I need to do to fix it?

Sometimes we work so hard to understand an emotion that we never actually give ourselves permission to feel it.

And sometimes there isn’t one clean explanation.

We can love someone and be angry with them.
We can feel grateful and disappointed.
We can know something is right and still grieve it.
We can be excited about what’s ahead and sad about what’s ending.

The heart can hold more than one truth.

You don’t have to explain your feelings before they’re worthy of your attention.

Sometimes the practice is simply:

This is what I’m feeling right now.
I don’t completely understand it yet.
And I’m willing to honor that it’s here.

Understanding may come later.

For now, perhaps being present with yourself is enough. đź’š

Sometimes you know you’re ready to move forward… but something in you just won’t move.

You’ve talked about it.
You’ve tried to understand it.
You’ve changed your habits, done the work, maybe even told yourself you should be “over it” by now.

And yet the same fear, pain, relationship pattern, physical tension, or emotional response keeps finding its way back.

This is often where people find their way to my table.

Energy healing gives us another place to look — beneath the story you already understand intellectually and into the patterns your body and energy may still be holding.

Sometimes we uncover an old experience. Sometimes it’s a belief you’ve carried for years. Sometimes it’s grief, fear, family patterns, or something you haven’t been able to put words around yet.

And sometimes the shift isn’t dramatic at all.

You simply begin to notice that the thing that used to have such a strong hold on you… doesn’t anymore.

You respond differently.
You feel lighter.
You have more space.
You feel more like yourself.

That’s what “getting unstuck” can look like.

If you’ve been circling the same thing for a long time and you’re ready to approach your healing differently, I’d love to talk with you.

The waiting can be its own kind of grief.

When you're trying to become pregnant, so much of life can begin to revolve around waiting.

Tracking.
Appointments.
Numbers.
Dates on calendar.
The days before you can take another test.
The moment you look at another negative test.
And then somehow gathering enough hope to begin again.

Meanwhile, life keeps moving around you.

Another pregnancy announcement.
Another baby shower.
Another person asking a question they don't realize is painful.

You can be genuinely happy for someone else and still feel the ache of wanting it for yourself.
You can be hopeful and exhausted by having to keep hoping.
Both can be true.

This is one of the places where I love bringing energy work into fertility support.

Not because I believe you need to "fix" your energy to become pregnant.

And never because I believe your thoughts, stress, or emotions are the reason you haven't conceived.

Energy work isn't about putting that responsibility on you.

For me, it's about giving you somewhere to bring everything you've been carrying.
The fear, the disappointment, the expectations. The stories you've accumulated along the way. Sometimes even experiences or emotions from long before you began trying.

We can gently work with what feels ready to be released- not because releasing it guarantees what happens next, but because you deserve to feel lighter while you're living through this.

And sometimes a session isn't about releasing anything at all.
Sometimes it's simply an hour where you aren't tracking, researching, planning or waiting for the next thing.

You get to lie down.
Exhale.
Receive.
And allow someone else to hold the space for a while.

If you're in the waiting right now, you don't have to make yourself more positive.
You don't have to find the lesson in it.
And you don't have to carry all of it by yourself. 🤍

This journey is one I know well- the waiting, the loss, the hope and disappointment, and eventually the transition into motherhood- and it is why I hold this space so deeply.

Sometimes understanding the pattern is only the beginning.

If you keep finding yourself back at the same issue — emotionally, relationally, physically, or even within patterns that seem to run through your family — there may be another layer asking for your attention.

You don’t have to keep swimming around the same pond.

If you’re ready to explore what might be underneath it, I offer free consultations to talk about what you’re experiencing and whether energy work might be a supportive next step.

The babies on my wall have stories. 🤍

There is a part of my work that I don't talk about nearly enough.
Maybe because these stories aren't really mine to tell.
They belong to the women who have trusted me during some of the most tender, uncertain, hopeful, and life-changing seasons of their lives.

I've had the privilege of supporting women who are preparing their bodies and hearts for pregnancy. Women navigating fertility struggles and the waiting that comes with them. Women moving through pregnancy carrying both excitement and fear. Women finding their way back to themselves after birth. And women whose journey took a turn they never expected.

No two stories have ever looked quite the same.
And that's one of the things this work has taught me.
There isn't one way to feel when you're trying to become a new mother.
There isn't one way to experience pregnancy.
And there certainly isn't one way to find yourself again after everything changes.

Sometimes the support you need isn't another person telling you what you should be doing or how you should be feeling.

Sometimes you just need somewhere you can put it all down for a little while.
A place where you don't have to be positive.
You don't have to have the answers.
You don't have to hold everything together.

You simply come as you are.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be sharing more about this part of my work- fertility, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, an the many emotions that can live inside all of it.

And if you're somewhere in this journey yourself, I want you to know there is space for you here. đź’ś

This summer definitely wasn’t what I expected.

For the first time in my life, I got the flu… and wow, it humbled me. 🤍

One of the things I was most grateful for was being able to continue meeting with clients virtually while I recovered. Every session reminded me of something I deeply believe:

Healing isn’t limited by a room.

Whether we’re together in person or connected through a screen, the work is the same. Presence is the medicine. Energy isn’t confined by distance.

Honestly, those sessions became healing for me too. They reminded me that this work has never been about me. My role is simply to show up, create a safe space, and be a clear channel for whatever needs to come through.

I’m finally feeling like myself again and so thankful for that. As summer begins to wind down, I have openings for both virtual and in-person sessions, and I’m excited for everything that’s coming this fall.

I hope you’ve found moments to slow down this summer, too. ❤️

What if the freedom you’re celebrating tomorrow… isn’t the one you actually need most?

We celebrate the courage of those who fought for it.
We celebrate the privilege of living with freedoms that so many have sacrificed to protect. 🇺🇸

But today, I find myself thinking about another kind of freedom.

The kind no one can give you… and no one can take away.

Healing has taught me that true freedom isn’t becoming someone new.

It’s finally feeling safe enough to become who you’ve always been.

It’s the freedom to stop performing.
To stop apologizing for your sensitivity.
To stop carrying shame that was never yours to hold.
To stop believing your worth depends on how much you achieve, fix, or prove.

It’s meeting every part of yourself- the joyful parts, the wounded parts, the scared parts, the resilient parts…and realizing they all deserve love.

Freedom is when your nervous system no longer has to stay on guard.
When your body can finally exhale.
When your heart doesn’t have to hide.
When you trust yourself enough to live from your truth instead of your survival.

That kind of freedom isn’t found all at once.
It’s cultivated, one brave step at a time.

As we head into Independence Day, my prayer is that we celebrate both:
the freedoms we’ve been given…
and the freedom we’re still discovering within ourselves.

Because there is nothing more liberating than coming home to who you truly are. đź’ś

✨ Happy Fourth of July. May your celebration remind you that your deepest freedom has always been waiting inside you.

One of the things I value most as a business owner is continuing to learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships within our local community.

Today I had the opportunity to attend another fantastic networking event at To***co Wood Brewing company . I loved meeting Olivia from Olivia | Face Painting in RDU , hearing Fran Dilts Wescott share practical insights on creating meaningful content, and learning from Michelle Johnson of Michelle Johnson | Your Small Biz Marketing Partner about how AI is reshaping the way businesses are discovered online. Thank you Michelle for creating this safe space to network with local business owners!

Whether I’m supporting someone through healing or growing Holding Space Healing, I believe we’re always students. There is always something new to learn, someone new to meet, and another opportunity to serve our community well.

These monthly networking events are completely free, and I leave each one feeling inspired. If you’re a local business owner, I’d love to see you there next time—our next gathering is July 27!

Growing a business isn’t just about marketing—it’s about building genuine relationships. 💜.
