It’s hot here. Like… “summer hair has officially entered the chat” hot. 😬😂

Which has me dreaming about the mountains.

Cooler air. A slower pace. Room to breathe. If you’ve never escaped the NC humidity in August, I highly recommend reconsidering your strategy. 😉

And why am I going back to the exact same house where I hosted my January retreat?

Because it’s fabulous. Beautiful, spacious, comfortable—and when you find a good thing, you go back.

I did a thing today.

After more than eight moves on behalf of someone else, I just bought my own house.

This is the first time I’ve owned a home in my own name.

I was 55 when I finally took a stand on my own behalf and left a marriage of nearly 30 years that had caused me deep harm.

It took nearly everything I had to navigate my divorce and keep standing. It took even more courage to begin imagining a life of my own—and to trust myself enough to build it.

Today, I signed my name.

My name.

On the loan. On the deed. On a home that I was already living in. I chose again - for myself, and my family.

I did a thing today. ❤️
