I enjoyed my first ever Southern Sleep Society meeting today. I got to talk on a panel with RLS luminaries and was honored to be invited to join them. Important takeaway points: dopamine agonists are dangerous and should be used sparingly if at all; iron is foundational to successful control of RLS symptoms; all medications have risks, and TOMAC devices are the lowest risk for the highest reward option for those who qualify.

6 months ago, I sat in Coach Diaz's office discussing how Duke Football could improve their sleep health. We emphasized the importance of sleep, provided sleep education to the players, and screened those at risk for sleep apnea. We did this so when a game stretches until midnight, they'd be as sharp as possible. We'll never know what role that played in this amazing season, but we do know one thing: ACC CHAMPIONS!!! GO DUKE!
