Apparently, today's candle-business task is figuring out why my paper cutter refuses to cut a straight line. 😂

I use it to cut my candle labels and the reflections for the Moment Jars, and recently I noticed some of my labels weren't lining up as straight on the jars as they should.

So I've been watching paper-cutter reviews and YouTube videos trying to figure out what I want to replace it with.
In the meantime... scissors. ✂️

Not particularly efficient, but they cut straight.
Just one of those very small things behind the finished product that you probably wouldn't know was happening.

Not every difficult moment needs a positive spin.

Apparently I wanted the coffee experience without actually drinking the coffee. 😂
I may be a tea drinker now, but I still love the smell of coffee for its warm, rich, a little dark, and somehow very serious feel.
So Early Light became my version of a morning coffee: Coffee & Cream in candle form.
I drink the tea. I light the coffee. ☕🕯️

A lot of building a brand looks pretty ordinary from the outside.
A laptop is open. Notes everywhere. Looking at the same photo more times than I'd like to admit. 😂 Writing something down, changing it, and going back to it again.
Just a little of what happens as we continue to build Luminary Focus.

Sometimes it's just straightening the space around me, spraying something I enjoy, and settling back into what I was already doing.

I still believe in making plans. I like knowing what I need to do, being intentional with my time, and asking God for the strength to do it.
But sometimes the day just doesn't go the way I planned.
I'm learning that when that happens, I don't always need to figure out what went wrong. Sometimes, something simply happens—and I can't get the time that has already passed back.
So I work with the day I have.
And when I'm able, I pick back up and continue.

September 24 — The Work After Launch
Launching Luminary Focus was a milestone.
But most of building a business happens in the quieter work that comes after—the making, organizing, adjusting, learning, and continuing.
So that's what I'm doing.
