You might want to ask:

• How does Direct Primary Care work?
• What is included in the monthly membership?
• How does DPC work alongside health insurance?
• What happens when I need an appointment?
• How can I communicate with Heather?
• Would this model make sense for my family?

Meet Heather Fayhee, MSN, FNP-C — board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Eno River Family Wellness.

Heather has spent more than two decades caring for patients across the lifespan. Over those years, she saw how much patients benefit when their provider has the time to listen, explain, follow up, and understand the whole picture.

That belief is what led her to create Eno River Family Wellness.

Heather earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 and has cared for patients in community-based practices and onsite employer clinics.

Today, the Direct Primary Care model allows her to practice in a way that reflects what she values most:

💚 Time to listen
💚 Care that feels personal
💚 Easier access when questions come up
💚 Prevention and education, not just sick visits
💚 A relationship that grows over time

For Heather, Eno River isn’t simply a different payment model. It’s an opportunity to care for her neighbors with the warmth, respect, and attention she would want for her own family.

If you’re new here, welcome. We’re glad you found us.

If primary care has started to feel rushed, hard to access, or disconnected, Direct Primary Care offers another way.

At Eno River Family Wellness, DPC is built around a simple idea: your relationship with your primary care provider should have room to actually work.

🗓️ Same- or next-day availability when clinically appropriate

You should not have to retell your entire health story every time you need care.

When your provider knows your history, medications, concerns, goals, and family circumstances, every conversation can begin from a place of greater understanding.

That ongoing relationship can help your provider:
✨ Recognize meaningful changes
✨ Offer recommendations that fit your life
✨ Understand what matters most to you
✨ Coordinate care more thoughtfully
✨ Support you through both routine and unexpected health needs

At Eno River Family Wellness, we believe continuity is one of the most valuable parts of primary care.Because better care begins with being known.

Discover primary care built around a genuine relationship.

Health needs change throughout life—and your primary care relationship should be able to grow with you.

Some seasons may focus on preventive care and maintaining healthy routines. Others may involve managing a new diagnosis, supporting a chronic condition, navigating medications, or simply having someone to call when questions arise.

At Eno River Family Wellness, we provide preventive, acute, and chronic care through one consistent relationship.

That means you have a trusted provider who can support you through:
✨ Routine wellness needs
✨ Illnesses and minor injuries
✨ Ongoing health concerns
✨ Medication management
✨ Lifestyle and preventive goals
✨ Changes in your health over time

Whatever season you are in, you should not have to navigate it alone.

One of the most common questions about direct primary care is:
“Does this replace my health insurance?”

Direct primary care and health insurance serve different purposes.
Your Eno River Family Wellness membership covers the primary care services included in your membership without billing insurance or charging copays for covered visits.

Many members still keep health insurance or another health coverage option for services outside the practice, such as:
• Hospitalizations
• Emergency care
• Specialist services
• Advanced imaging
• Surgeries
• Certain medications and procedures

Think of direct primary care as making your everyday healthcare relationship more accessible, predictable, and personal.

Specific coverage needs vary, so it is important to review your individual insurance or health plan carefully.

Preventive care is not simply completing a checklist once a year.

It is having ongoing conversations about your health, your family history, your goals, and the changes you may be noticing over time.

At Eno River Family Wellness, preventive care may include:
• Routine screenings
• Health-risk assessments
• Medication reviews
• Nutrition and lifestyle conversations
• Age-appropriate health recommendations
• Monitoring changes before they become larger concerns

When your provider has the time to know you, preventive care becomes more personal and more meaningful.

Let’s move beyond reacting to illness and start building a thoughtful plan for your long-term health.

You Shouldn’t Have to Wait Weeks for Care When something feels off, waiting several weeks for an appointment can leave you feeling frustrated, worried, and unsure of what to do next.

At Eno River Family Wellness, members have access to same- or next-day appointments when clinically appropriate, along with direct communication by text, phone, video, and in-person visits.

That means fewer barriers between you and the provider who knows your health history.

Because access to primary care should feel reassuring—not impossible.

👋 If you’re new here, meet Heather!

Heather Fayhee, MSN, FNP-C, is the founder of Eno River Family Wellness and the provider behind our relationship-first approach to primary care.

With more than 20 years of experience caring for patients across the lifespan, Heather created Eno River Family Wellness because she believed there was room for something different in healthcare—more time, better access, and a genuine relationship between patients and their provider. 💚

Heather earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. Throughout her career, one thing has remained especially important to her: taking the time to listen.

Through Direct Primary Care, Heather is able to spend more time getting to know her patients, answering questions, focusing on prevention, and helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their health.

🌿 Her philosophy is simple: You should feel known, heard, and supported by the person you trust with your healthcare.

Outside the office, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, gardening, hiking, and exploring North Carolina’s rivers, creeks, and marshes in her kayak. 🛶

For those who have recently joined us here—welcome! We’re glad you’re here, and we look forward to showing you what relationship-first family medicine can look like.
