I discovered Qigong completely by accident.
Last year I stumbled into a free class held at a beautiful Japanese garden — and I had no idea what I was walking into.
By the end of it, I was hooked.
There’s something about the slow, intentional movement that just settles everything down in a way that’s hard to explain until you feel it.
I’ve been recommending it to clients ever since.
Here’s why it matters so much for the women I work with: when your body is dealing with toxic overload, or your nervous system is stuck in fight-or-flight, you need tools you can reach for throughout your day.
Not just once a week.
Right now. At home. Between meetings.
In your backyard.
Qigong is that tool.
What it actually does for your body:
• Activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the “rest and digest” state your body desperately needs
• Supports lymphatic flow, which is critical when you’re actively detoxing
• Lowers cortisol and helps regulate the HPA axis (hello, hormone balance)
• Improves circulation and oxygen delivery at the cellular level
• Calms inflammation — because chronic stress is chronic inflammation
• Takes almost no time and requires zero equipment
The best part? You can find incredible free content on YouTube.
My personal favorite is Nick Loffree — his videos range from just a few minutes to longer flows, so you can fit them into whatever your day looks like.
And as a bonus, he always films in the most breathtaking locations, so you get the calming effect of beautiful scenery on top of the practice itself. It’s like a mini escape every time.

And there are so many other wonderful teachers on there too. Just search and explore until you find one that resonates with you.
