Over the past few months, myself and members of my Montgomery County Coroner’s office team have had the opportunity to participate in senior fairs hosted by Rep. Steve Malagari, Rep. Gregory Scott, and Rep. Napoleon Nelson. These events have provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with older adults throughout Montgomery County, PA, share information about our Bereavement Support Hour, and discuss prevention.

Every interaction helps us build meaningful connections and advance our mission of education, prevention, and community outreach.

Last week, some of my team at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office attended Laurel House’s Breaking the Silence event, which focused on medical advocacy and the important role healthcare professionals play in recognizing abuse and providing support.

Yesterday, I had the honor of attending Rep. Joe Webster’s recognition of Veterans’ Su***de Prevention Week.

As we observe Su***de Prevention Month, we remember the veterans we have lost and raise awareness of the heartbreaking reality that approximately 17 veterans die by su***de each day in the United States.

The Witting Tree ceremony was a meaningful tribute and reminder of the importance of supporting our veterans, reducing stigma, and encouraging those who are struggling to seek help. Together, we can help ensure no one in Montgomery County, PA faces these challenges alone.
