🤧 Two Weeks of Cough… Still Normal?

Sometimes, yes! 💙 A cough after a viral illness can linger for 2–3 weeks and sometimes longer, even when your child is feeling much better.

What matters most is how your child is doing overall—breathing comfortably, drinking, playing, and gradually improving.

🚩 A worsening cough, trouble breathing, persistent or returning fever, or a cough lasting more than 4 weeks deserves a closer look.

Most childhood respiratory infections are caused by viruses. Antibiotics treat bacterial infections and won’t help a viral cough.
The question to ask: “Why is my child coughing?” 🩺
