Inversions really "flip things around" in labor.

By gently reversing gravity, your uterus lifts and gives those pelvic ligaments a chance to stretch and soften, helping baby find a better position for birth.

Alignment = progress. Pretty cool, right?

Hospital tip: Use that adjustable bed! Face the foot of the bed, rest on your elbows, and slowly lower your body: instant supported inversion.

⚠️ Always have a spotter nearby in case you feel lightheaded and approve this labor position with your birth team. Safety first, always.

Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it comes easily 🤍

Breastfeeding is learned, for both babies and parents.

It can take time, support, and a lot of patience.

If it feels hard, you’re not doing it wrong.

You’re learning something new together.

Just as a toddler learning to walk sometimes needs a hand, a mom and baby learning to breastfeed might need a hand.

👇🏽 Did you find you needed support while breastfeeding?

Sometimes you want to be upright but are tired of being on your feet. Hands and knees is a great variation in any setting, whether in the tub, shower, or on dry land!

Mindfulness at its core is allowing yourself to fully exist in the present moment.

During pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, staying present can feel challenging. There are so many changes, emotions, decisions, and expectations competing for your attention. Mindfulness isn't about being calm all the time—it's about gently returning to yourself, your body, and your experience, one moment at a time.

Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating early postpartum, or simply seeking support along the way, you don't have to do it alone.

✨ Now booking with open availability in July and August! ✨

If you're looking for compassionate, evidence-based doula support, I'd love to connect and learn more about your journey.

**🌈 Supporting Every Family, Every Step of the Way 🤍**

Families come in many forms, and every family deserves compassionate, personalized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Doulas can play a powerful role in supporting non-traditional families, including LGBTQ+ parents, single parents, co-parenting families, blended families, adoptive and surrogacy journeys, chosen families, and anyone whose path to parenthood looks different from the "traditional" narrative.

✨ **During Pregnancy**
• Provide inclusive, affirming education and resources
• Help parents navigate healthcare systems and advocate for their needs
• Create space for conversations about identity, family roles, and expectations
• Support emotional well-being through a major life transition

✨ **During Birth**
• Offer continuous emotional and physical support
• Help ensure parents feel seen, respected, and heard by their care team
• Support all partners and support people in meaningful ways
• Create a birth space that reflects the family's values and goals

✨ **During Postpartum**
• Help families adjust to new routines and relationships
• Offer evidence-based information on feeding, recovery, and newborn care
• Provide emotional support during the transition to parenthood
• Connect families with affirming local resources and communities

At the heart of doula care is the belief that there is no one "right" way to build a family. Every family's story is unique, and every parent deserves support that honors who they are.

💛 Inclusive care means meeting families where they are, celebrating their identities, and helping them feel empowered throughout their journey.

🩸✨ Breast milk is made from blood — not directly from what you eat.

Your body pulls from your bloodstream to create milk that’s perfectly designed for your baby.

Most newborn gas is normal, and diet usually only matters if there’s a true protein allergy or intolerance.

ALL humans have gas 😉 Babies fuss and cry because it's a new sensation, and occasionally it is actually very uncomfortable.

But for common newborn gas, you don't need to alter your diet. Breast milk is made from your blood. So while some proteins of what you eat get into your bloodstream and thus your milk, your baby isn't digesting broccoli and beans or spices the same way you are.

Occasionally, some babies do have true protein allergies or sensitivities but this is more the exception rather than the rule.

⁉️ Did you know one of the biggest predictors of whether you have an evidence-based, safe, and empowering birth is where you birth and who your midwife/OB is?

Not all practices offer continuity of care with a focus of helping you be an active participant in the decision making process.

Some facilties have policies rooted in liability ans risk management rather than evidence. While other facilities are all about safe and empoweing births.

When choosing your midwife or OB, and your birth location, figure out the type of birth you hope for and find out if they're truly supportive of it.

We can't always choose how birth unfolds, but we can make choices which set us up to have a safe and empowering experience regardless of how things unfold.

👇🏽 How did you choose your midwife or OB?
