Hybrid meetings are here to stay in New York! Back in October EEDG went to Albany(via Zoom) to advocate for changes be made to the Open Meetings Law. Those provisions have been made! This allows for those with disabilities or other extraordinary circumstances, to participate in government remotely. This is a great triumph for the civil rights of the disabled in New York State! EEDG goes to Albany! Incredible article in the East Hampton Star on our latest step towards equal rights for the disabled.

The East End was well represented when New York State Assembly committees considered testimony during a hearing on the Covid-19 pandemic's impact on the Open Meetings Law on Monday.
