Dear Volunteers and Supporters of LIG Global Foundation,
It is with a mix of emotions that the officers and founders of LIG Global Foundation write this letter to you all. After more than a decade since four friends began this journey, the time has come for LIG Global Foundation to wind down and cease operations. We will no longer operate as the LIG Global Foundation and will transition into the informal LIG Global Volunteer Network to promote volunteerism among our network of humanitarian partners.
We want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for your unwavering dedication, passion, and support. Your tireless efforts, selfless contributions, and commitment to service have touched so many and inspired the next generation to spread kindness and a helping hand. Together, we were able to bring healthcare, education, and humanitarian aid to friends and communities who reached out to us around the globe. The dedication and humility of our volunteers allowed us to become a part of global communities through trusted local partners and friends. We answered the call to service. We showed up for anyone, everyone and for each other, inspiring each other and our children to be the best version of ourselves.
We are truly humbled and proud of the incredible work that we have accomplished together during our time with LIG Global Foundation. Your willingness to go above and beyond, your willingness to step up and make a difference, and your unwavering belief in the power of compassion and empathy have made a lasting impact.
Please accept our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your service, your dedication, and most of all, your friendship. Your support has been the driving force behind our success, and we are eternally grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such amazing individuals. We will forever cherish the memories we have created together. We know in our hearts that each of you will continue to make a difference in the world, spreading kindness, love, and hope wherever you go. So, thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work, your generosity, and your unyielding spirit. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve alongside you.
In the spirit of true friendship, we are requesting that you join us in one last mission - a journey of reflection. We need your help compiling the aggregated story of LIG as told by its members. Could you please share any stories that you can share about your experience(s) on one or more of our trips, events, or perhaps a story about one of the volunteers that makes you smile, laugh, or cry? Personally, we know we have been changed for the better. Throughout our time with LIG, we truly have lived the meaning of life being great when shared through service.
