🎉 TWELVE YEARS 🎉

12 years ago we opened our doors to the Peoria community. There have been laughs, celebrations, tears, and triumphs. There have been changes, shifts, new faces, and friendships. What has remained constant is our passion for providing our community hope and a safe place to get long-lasting relief. Today, we remember you, our patients, both past and present. Here is the lowdown on low-back pain:

✅ It Is the # 1 cause of disability worldwide.
✅ The US spends $50 billion a year on back pain
✅ 150 million Americans suffer annually and miss workdays
✅ Nearly 50% of back surgeries have serious post-surgical complications

The most common causes of low back pain are structural in nature. Intervertebral disc degeneration and osteoarthritis are the two most common causes. These are “wear and tear” type conditions that are due to old injuries, poor posture, and even too much sitting. Sometimes the pain can travel from the spine down into the glutes and down the leg. This is known as sciatica or radiculopathy. Typical treatment includes medications and anti-inflammatories.
