A dream over a decade in the making.

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that Beyond the Diagnosis has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

This is more than a grant. It is a national recognition of the power of art to change how the world sees children living with rare and life-altering diseases.
The National Endowment for the Arts awards grants through an extremely competitive review process, supporting projects that demonstrate artistic excellence and public value. To have Beyond the Diagnosis selected is an extraordinary honor.
What began as a single exhibit has grown into an international movement. Our portraits have traveled to medical schools, hospitals, research institutes, museums, galleries, and communities around the world, helping healthcare professionals, researchers, students, and the public look beyond a diagnosis to see the child.
This recognition belongs to every family who entrusted us with their story, every artist who donated their extraordinary talent, every volunteer, every partner, every donor, and every person who has believed in our mission.
The NEA's support will help us continue expanding the exhibit, creating new portraits, and reaching even more people with a message that has always been at the heart of our work:
Every child is a masterpiece.
