Caregiver Art Collaboration at The Loft at Linn

Join us for a meaningful and creative experience designed for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. Through guided painting sessions led by local artists, participants will explore self-expression, connection, and joy in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Art provides a powerful way to communicate beyond words, creating moments of understanding, creativity, and togetherness between caregivers and their loved ones. No artistic experience is necessary — just a willingness to create, connect, and share meaningful moments. This experience is free of cost thanks to the amazing foundation Alzheimer's Foundation of America who chose The Loft at Linn as a national grant winner!

The Loft at Linn is very excited to start our Art in Motion program which was supported by a grant received by The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Caregiver Art Collaboration
This free program is open to individuals living with dementia and their caregiver. The program encourages active creativity and non-verbal expression, allowing caregivers to experience their loved one’s self-expression. The program will host 10 individuals living with dementia alongside 10 caregivers. Three local artists have been contracted to facilitate the sessions.

Painting sessions are scheduled for
May 18 at 2pm,May 31 at 2pm, July 15 at 2pm, and August 16 at 2pm.

At The Loft at Linn Assisted Living, our memory care program offers more than just a place to live, it’s a place where each person is supported, valued, and encouraged to continue being themselves. We focus on the meaningful details that make each resident unique, from maintaining familiar daily routines like washing dishes or making a cup of tea for a friend, to enjoying outdoor walks, connecting with nature, feeding our fish, and experiencing the comfort and companionship of a pet.

We believe these moments are just as important as providing physical assistance, medication management, spiritual support, and opportunities for fun, engagement, and entertainment. Our goal is to create an environment that feels comforting, purposeful, and enriching every day.
