Hello. For those that don’t know me, my name is Jax () and I’m a co-owner of Eclipse Tattoo Studio in Eastlake, OH. I have been tattooing for over 10 years in the Northeast Ohio area.
Shortly after graduating from Notre Dame College with a Bachelors in Mathematics, I very quickly changed career paths pursuing a tattoo apprenticeship. I often joke about not using my degree. But, truly, math heavily influences art concepts such as perspective, composition, symmetry and more to create artworks that are visually appealing.
When it comes to my preferred tattoo style I’ve focused the last few years on fine-line work designs. Usually mixed with other elements such as flowers, female portraits, skulls, and animals. While I tend to tattoo a fair amount of intricate pieces I absolutely love tattooing tiny, meaningful and minimalistic designs as well.
Most of you know I am very passionate about my career, and how much I enjoy sharing that passion with all of you. Opening Eclipse Tattoo Studio has expanded my ability to do so. In addition to creating an inclusive, comfortable environment where all can feel welcome.
