We’re excited to share the new date for the Summer Kickoff event at the NEW Upper Macungie Township Lifestyle Center. The event will now take place on Sunday, June 28th.

With the date change, there will be a few minor adjustments to the previously scheduled clinics. However, we are still offering FREE Impact Athlete clinics in Soccer, Field Hockey, Basketball, and Football.

We’re also thrilled to announce that Nick Dawkins, NFL lineman, will be joining us for the Impact Athlete Football Clinic. As in previous years, Nick and the Dawkins Family Foundation will be hosting their annual bookbag drive on July 17th & 18th in Allentown and Bethlehem. During our event on the 28th, we’re inviting the community to support this incredible initiative by donating new school supplies. A designated drop-off area will be available inside the facility, and we will be collecting:

Bookbags, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, folders, binders, and other common classroom essentials. The Dawkins Family Foundation will also be accepting new, unopened menstrual products.

URGENT UPDATE

Due to circumstances outside of our control, Upper Macungie Township has notified us that the event originally scheduled for this Saturday, June 13th must be postponed.

As with any new construction project, hiccups happen & delays occur. Ultimately, we want to ensure that we are providing a safe environment for the families we are inviting. We look forward to updating you all with an updated date and time for our collaborative summer kickoff event soon!

Another day, another athlete announcement as we edge closer to Saturday's event! LVHN, part of Jefferson Health, is excited to announce the addition of Talia Zurinskas, a sophomore guard at Lafayette College, to the Impact Athlete program.

Zurinskas has developed into one of the Leopards' most reliable contributors, earning Patriot League All-Rookie Team honors in her first season before taking on a full-time starting role as a sophomore. Her consistent growth on the court reflects the same work ethic and competitive drive she brought as a member of Parkland High School's program.

State Championship softball is here! We want to wish Holy Cross Softball and Abington Heights Softball the best of luck as they pursue their quest for gold.

Tune in or make the trip to Penn State to see the Crusaders take on Union Area today at 4 p.m. Abington Heights heads to State College tomorrow at 11 a.m., where the Comets look to take down Shaler Area.

Introducing another Mountain Hawk, LVHN, part of Jefferson health is excited to welcome Hayden Johnson, a sophomore quarterback at Lehigh University, to the Impact Athlete program.

Hayden has quickly established himself as one of the premier quarterbacks in the Patriot League, earning First Team All-Patriot League honors this season after starting all 13 games and throwing for 18 touchdowns. His performance this year built on a remarkable freshman season in which he was named MVP of the storied Rivalry 160 game and earned back-to-back Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors to close the regular season.

Before arriving in Bethlehem, Johnson was a two-time First Team All-State quarterback who left Manheim Township High School as the career record holder in passing yards (7,536), total touchdowns (121), and completions (592).

LVHN, part of Jefferson Health is excited to announce the addition of Whitney Lind, a junior guard at Lehigh University, to the Impact Athlete program.

Lind has developed into one of the Patriot League's most well-rounded players, averaging 13.3 points per game this season while earning Third Team All-Patriot League honors. A Kentucky native, she arrived at Lehigh following a decorated high school career at Randall K. Cooper High School, where she scored 2,257 points and set a school record with 1,000 rebounds.

As a 3-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree, Lind brings the same commitment to excellence in the classroom that she demonstrates on the court.

Take a stroll with LVHN Impact Athlete Mike Sisselberger as he tours the new Upper Macungie Lifestyle Center. While the athletic facilities are covered extensively, the center also offers a wide range of community amenities designed to support wellness and promote a healthier lifestyle, with truly something for everyone.

Our early access event on June 13th is open to the public by registration only. Each child enrolled in our FREE sports clinics may bring up to 2 household members for an exclusive first look at everything this facility has to offer. Resident and non-resident membership opportunities will also be available during this time.

We look forward to seeing the space continue to take shape as we approach the soft opening, and we hope to see you there!

LVHN, part of Jefferson Health, is excited to welcome a new member to the Impact Athlete team: Claire Campen, standout rising junior and team captain from Monmouth University Field Hockey, proud graduate of Honesdale High School, and current Longstreth Field Hockey Ambassador.

Claire brings an exceptional resume, highlighted by 2025 All CAA First Team, 2025 NFHCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team, 2024 CAA All Rookie Team, and recognition as CAA Rookie of the Week (10/21/24). Before making her mark at the collegiate level, she dominated at Honesdale, becoming the program’s all-time leading scorer with 78 goals, 44 assists, and 200 career points.

We’re thrilled to have Claire join the Impact Athlete team, where she will be alongside Abby, Melea, and Faye at the June 16th Field Hockey Clinic, bringing her energy, leadership, and passion for the sport to the next generation of athletes.

As a founding partner of the Upper Macungie Township Community Lifestyle Center, Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health, is thrilled to provide an in-depth look at the facility through a soft opening special event! The Impact Athlete Summer Kickoff will offer a FREE series of sports clinics to the community as part of National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Family Health and Fitness Day.

From 10:00AM to 11:30AM, boys and girls entering grades 1st through 5th in the fall of 2026 will have the choice to participate in one of the following free clinics: Soccer, Field Hockey, and Lacrosse! Boys and girls entering grades 4th through 6th will be able to participate in a free basketball clinic during the same time slot. Registration check-in for these clinics will take place at 9:15AM. Following the mini clinics, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, aspiring football players entering grades 5th through 8th in the fall of 2026 will have the opportunity to participate in a free football clinic.

All clinic sessions will be led by current Impact Athletes and will include skills, drills, and games. All necessary protective equipment should be worn for the duration of each clinic.

Each registered athlete will be allowed 2 family members to attend. During the clinics, informational sessions, fitness programming, and facility tours will be made available.
