Your pelvic floor isn’t a brick wall, it’s a trampoline!
Most people are taught that a healthy pelvic floor should be tight, solid, and constantly squeezed. But in reality? A rigid, overly tight pelvic floor can’t do its job!
Think of your pelvic floor like a trampoline:
🟢 A Healthy Trampoline (Dynamic): Stretches, yields, and springs back up when you breathe, run, jump, or laugh.
🔴 A Brick Wall (Hypertonic/Tight): Rigid and shortened. It has no “bounce”, meaning under pressure, it actually leads to leakage, pelvic pain, or pressure.
If your muscles are locked in a tight, shortened state, doing more Kegels or heavy core squeezes is like pulling an already tight knot even tighter.
Why expert care matters: To get your “bounce” back, tight fascia and muscles need specialized manual release first, not generic exercises.
